After we finished eating Derek tracked down our clothes.
"Are we really going to put on these clothes looking like this? We need to rinse off this blood first but where the house is full of people." I exclaimed.
"Your right I think there is a lake nearby."
Derek used his smell to lead us to the lake. It was a good thirty minute walk. My feet were becoming sore from all the sticks and twigs. I don't see how Derek can take this aggravating sensation. As soon as we got to the lake bank we put all out clothing on a rock for safe keeping. The lake bank was at least nine feet above the actual bank.
"How do we get down there?"
"We jump!" Derek ran and did a backflip off the bank.
I watched him until he reached the water. He made a huge splash and I was worried about how deep the water was.
"Woohoo! Alex come on! It's great!" He shouted from the bottom.
"Fine! Here I come!"
I ran as fast as I could and then I jumped off. I had enough air to do a triple back flip. Ultimately topping what Derek did. I felt my feet touch the bottom of the lake that was at least ten to twelve foot deep.
I came up out of the water and let out a loud scream."yeah!"
"That was awesome!"
"Aw thank you." Derek's face was finally cleaned off.
I grabbed his face and kissed him. He started to kiss my back. He ran his fingers all throughout my hair. This time kissing him was different. Almost like there were sparks in between us. Heat radiated off his skin and on to mine. I feel the temperature rising in between us.
"Hey, we need to get dressed and head back." He smiled.
"Why? We are having so much fun."
"Considering the moon is on the rise and we have to be ready for battle." He tapped my nose.
"Oh right." I sighed.
"Are you nervous?"
"Yeah a little I never fought anyone before. A specially another werewolf and on top of that she is an alpha." I said.
He turned towards me and grabbed my arms. Derek looked me in the eyes he looked disappointed at what I said.
"Alex don't think like this okay? You got this! You're a strong woman and you can take her okay?"
"Yeah your right." I smiled.
We walked up the slope next to the lake bank. I grabbed my clothes and quickly put them on. The sun wasn't even on the horizon anymore. The sky was purple and full of stars. Derek put on his clothes and looked at the horizon.
"Okay well we have at least two hours before the full moon and two hours before the fight."
"Ahh!" I said nervously shaking the sweat off my hands.
Derek then grabbed my hand and tried to comfort me.
"Alex.."
Then he just grabbed my face and kissed me.
"What was that for?" I asked.
"It was to calm you down and as you can tell it worked. You can't be afraid!" We began to walk." Alex they can sense fear and then they'll use it against you. They will hunt you down like that elk and I don't want to see my mate like that elk. Okay? Alex I love you I really do. But you need to get angry and show a mean face. Hide all your vulnerabilities. I know it's a lot to remember but I'm trying to protect you. Honestly I don't think I can do much for you."
