Three days later...
I sat up swiftly and gasped for air. I realized I was in my room. The soft lilac purple painted walls with the lavender purple curtains brought back faded memories. I remembered everything that had happened and I grabbed my phone off the nightstand and saw messages from Brett and my mom and dad. I wonder how I got here? And how am I even alive?
I then noticed Derek sitting in my chair in the far back corner of my room where little light stretched."What did you do? I was dead!" I sternly looked at Derek as he was looking down
" I did what I had to! But that's not important right now! What's important is that you're alive and awake." He said, pulling his chair up closer.
"I want to know it's my body! Did you cast some resurrection spell on me? Or something kind of like that ?" I was freaking out.
" Well, after I jabbed my claws into your spine. I decided that I should try to spring up your healing factor. One bite that's all it takes so I bit you and I waited and waited and waited some more. I then noticed it wasn't working and I tried everything I could to save you. I then realized that it was time to let you go. I cried for two days straight but then out of nowhere you before me and Brett was about to bury you. You somehow sprung to life. There's no better way to really explain this but, Alex you're a werewolf now. But strangely you were already a werewolf so I guess you're just better? '' Derek scratched his head.
" I'm a WEREWOLF" I yelled.
Derek ran up to me and slammed his hand on my mouth." shh-yeah and if you say any louder you won't be alive much longer."
"Why? What's gonna come to get me?" I questioned.
"Being a werewolf has its perks. But it also has a downside." Derek looked down and sighed."every single day there are constant urges and you just want to let go but you can't! And there is an ongoing war between hunters and werewolves"
I felt my stomach flip inside out."Hunters?"
" Yeah, I'm sorry I ruined your life!" I noticed how he beats himself up about it.
I swallowed heavily."It's okay at least I'm alive and not in a coffin! You made my life better whether you accept it or not! I'm truly grateful"
I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Don't thank me, I'm not a hero!" Derek looked at the floor. I could tell he felt guilty about what he did.
"Stop feeling guilty! You did the right thing!" I grabbed his chin to face it towards me.
"It's hard to not be! I mean this life it's not the best! It's not like the movies it's much worse!" He exclaimed.
I threw my hands up."How? How is it much worse! I now have all of these abilities and you know, I'm not afraid of those girls now!"
"Alex, don't follow your instincts! It's the wolf! You have to fight these urges!" Derek looked at me sternly.
"Why! I feel great, I never felt better!" I smiled.
Derek sighed and grabbed my shoulders. "Alex I know from experience. This life is hard, you don't believe me now but just wait."
I looked him in the eyes."Derek, the only thing that's going to be hard is teaching me control."
"Oh, that's easy! I'll tell you when the time comes but for !" Derek smirked.
"Come on! Life is too short to waste!" I shouted.
"You're right, that's why I shouldn't waste it on teaching you things that can wait. When I can just do this" Derek said climbing in my bed.
He then started to kiss me on the neck. I'm not going to lie, it felt good and I didn't want it to stop. I then grabbed his shirt and flipped him on the bed and I sat on top of his stomach.
