An hour later-
The rain pitter-pattered on the wind shield as the rain fell my heart sank. Every deep breath every clenching fist the anxiety was getting worse. Derek was out there harming himself or worse harming someone else. I took in a large breath and continued to speak.

"What are we going to do now?"

Brett buried his face into the steering wheel.

"I guess we wait until it stops raining." He sighed.

"That can take all night! We don't have much time! let's wait until morning!"

I felt a sense of anger that I have never felt before. Dark blue veins started to bulge out of my neck and arms.

"Woah! Hey calm down!" Brett said softly.

"I'm going to find him!"

I pushed open the car door and jumped out. The rain hit my face and soaked my jeans.

"Alex! Get back in! We will look for him in the morning I promise." Brett yelled.

Brett was now over stretched towards my direction. He tried to convince me to get back in the car but I couldn't. I had to find derek. I had to save him from himself. Was this my destiny? To save my werewolf boyfriend from killing someone or the worse thought of them all killing himself.

"Alex hold on!" Brett said unbuckling his seat belt and getting out of the truck.

I sat there in the rain as it fell on my shoulders. The cold refreshing rain drizzled down my face.

"Alex! There's no way we are going to find him in this mess! Let's wait until the rain slows down then we can track him!" Brett yelled over the hard pouring rain.

"We have to get him now while his scent is still fresh!"

"Okay but I'm coming with you!" Brett grabbed something out of the glove department.

"What's that?"

"A gun." He said softly cleaning it.

"What are you going to use that for?"

Brett loaded the gun and had it ready to shoot."Well the hunters are out right now. Then the full moon gets full in three days."

I felt myself shifting again. My shoulder blades rolled out and popped.

"Are you shifting?" Brett sounded confused.

He stared at me while I took off my shirt. "Do you mind!"

"I'm sorry I didn't notice." Brett turned around.

I made my jaws move into position as my fangs came in. The long sharp fangs persisted through my gums causing discomfort. I held my fist tight then turned a bright white. My claws now appear brown and very sharp. I slammed my hands (which turned to paws) in the ground.
My blood began to boil. I felt all the blood lust rise in my stomach.

"Alright here we go! You lead the way I'll follow!" Brett yelled walking behind me.

I smelled the freshly cleaned air for his scent. I followed down a path to the right of me I sniffed. The newly found freedom in shifting is unlike anything I have ever done. I looked back at Brett waiting for him to ketch up.

"Go ahead! I'll follow behind you!" Brett said.

The rain drizzled down my fur. The fresh cold breeze blew against my wet fur. My freshly wet paws hit the ground and slung up mud on my back side. I followed his scent and he was at least thirty yards out. I ran fast
Now faster than I could ever run.
I finally got to the end of the trail and Derek wasn't there. He left a huge  paw print in the mud leading north.
I followed it hopefully it would lead to him. The rain poured down making it hard to see. I kept running faster and faster. I searched for another 30 yards. The scent washed away in the rain. I stopped and let out a loud cry for him. It echoed and rang In my ears. I heard nothing as the rain fell silently. I wasn't paying attention then I fell down a hill tumbling and bumping. My body slammed into a tree and my head smashed against the rock. Brett ran down the hill and screamed my name.
I shifted back, I had no energy and I could barely move.
