"I can't believe you're 16 weeks along..." Damon mutters in disbelief, stroking my arm.

I muzzle my head into his chest.
"'Me neither." I reply, time is going so fast.

"You even have a little bump." He smiles, placing his hand on my stomach.

"You know, I've been thinking of names." He mumbles and I look up at him.

"You have?" I grin and he nods with a smile.
"Yeah."

"Tell me!" I squeal and sit up.

He chuckles at my excitement and sits up, pulling me back onto his chest.

"Well...they're bad, like really bad, just ideas, things I thought of because I was bored..." He rambles and I smack his chest.

"Tell me." I repeat and he sighs.

That then lead to an hour long discussion about baby names, until we fell asleep.

———

"I'm never going to stop looking at this, it's so cute!" I exclaim, admiring the sonogram photo of our baby.

Damon laughs at me and I look over at him.

"What?" I ask,
"I just find it funny how we call the baby 'it'." He laughs.

"We don't know the gender so it's an it." I state and he chuckles.

"Speaking of the gender, we've never really talked about what we want. Like if we want a girl or boy more." Damon says, opening the passenger door of the car.

"Well, what do you want?" I ask.
He gets in the car and looks over at me,

"Honestly, I've always wanted a daughter...I don't know it just seems...fun. Plus, having a mini version of you running around seems surreal." He smiles, a look in his eyes I've never seen before.

"What about you?"

"I don't really have a preference...but I just feel like it's a boy." "Call it motherly instinct I guess."

"I don't think I want to find out the gender..." I say.
"Caroline will just made a big deal out of it and throw this huge gender reveal or whatever and I don't want that." I explain and he nods.

"That's fine, I agree." He smiles.
"A gender reveal party, thrown by blondie, sounds like hell." He adds and I laugh.

"Caroline is going to melt when she's sees this." I look back down at the sonogram.

"I still can't believe that we're having a baby..." Damon mutters, I lean my head on his shoulder and we sit there, staring in awe at our baby.

———

"This is adorable!" Caroline squeals after looking at the sonogram. "I'm actually obsessed." I say.

"When can you find out the gender?" She asks,
"We're not going to." I tell her and I immediately know what's coming.

"What do you mean you're not going to! You have to!" She yells. "We don't want to make a big deal out of it, and we like the idea of it being a surprise." I explain and she sighs.

"I understand," "But I'm still disappointed." She adds.

"We only decided we wouldn't find out yesterday and Damon is already breaking," "Last night he was comparing sonograms on his phone, trying to see if he could tell the gender."

"I can't imagine him doing that." Care laughs.

"What're you two laughing about?" Damon asks as he walks through the front door with grocery bags in his hands.
