Dear Diary,

I can't believe I'm already half way through my pregnancy. It's going so fast, and I don't how to feel about it.

I'm currently at campus, it's crazy to be back here, after everything.

Damon didn't want to let me come here without him, but I assured him I'd be fine.

Since I 'graduated'', I don't need to be back here, I just came back here because I'm going back to my internship for a little while. Only two to three times a week because of the distance.

I don't start for a little under an hour so I decided to take a walk through campus.

It hasn't changed as much as I thought it would.

Weirdly, I don't really miss it, the whole college life, it just wasn't for me.

I'm excited to get back to the hospital, to work with Jo.

When I start working at Mystic Falls MD, Jo will be there since her, Ric and the twins are moving back.

I love the hospital atmosphere, saving lives and helping people brings me so much joy.

Now I'm at the end of my internship, it's more serious, with more responsibilities.

And I can't wait.

"Hi!" I squeal, hugging Jo.

"Happy to be back?" She asks,
"You have no idea."

"Well, I'm glad because I have lots for you to do," She grins, handing me a clipboard.

"There's a couple patients for you to check up on, someone is coming in for a blood test," She explains.

"Alright, thank you," I smile, getting started on my tasks.

I finished work at one o'clock and after saying goodbye to Jo, started driving home.

She insisted that Damon and I go over for dinner some time this week.

I sang along to the radio and the drive seemed to go quick.

———

"Damon! I'm home!" I call out.

He doesn't answer and I start to worry, I calm myself down, I'm being paranoid, he could've just gone out.

I go upstairs and into the bedroom, then I see him.

He's fast asleep in bed, an empty box of tissues on the nightstand and thousands of used tissues on the bed and floor.

His nose was a rose red and he looked adorable.

I sat on the bed next to him and rubbed him arm, "Damon, I'm home." I whisper softly.

He shifts, groaning as his eyes flutter open.

"Elena..." He mumbles.
"Hi," I smile.

"I'm dying," He whines and I laugh.

"What's wrong?" I ask, brushing the hair off of his forehead.

"I can't breathe, or talk, or swallow, everything's aching and my head hurts right here," He gestures to his whole head and I chuckle.

"That doesn't sound fun," I say and he shakes his head. "But, I don't think you're dying, I think you have the flu."

"Help me," He begs.

"I will, don't worry. I'm going to get you some painkillers and I'll be back," I kiss him on the forehead before getting up and going downstairs.
