Timeline's Rememberance

- Chapter 15 - Welcome to the clan.

After Henry's announcement the Toppat's were more observant and careful. As one mistake could cost them everything they once called home...

Henry on the other hand, was more panaroid then ever before. He felt... Guilty for being the possible reason of endangering the clan by kidnapping Charles, but love has no limits.

The Chief was in the same room as Earrings, who was designing a toppat fit for Charles. Henry was there only to help with the design as he knew what Charles liked and the hat's design was supposed to be a surprise.

"Hm... How about a crimson toppat for the base? I'm sure we have one crimson top hat somewhere. And if not, I can always make one." - Earrings suggested, Henry nodded as a way to respond.

Earrings immediately started looking for the said crimson top hat, which was peacefully lying on top one of the shelves not so far from the work station.

"Alright, Boss. What accessories should we add?" - Asked the blond girl as she walked back to the desk with the crimson top hat.

Henry thought for a moment, trying to remember the memories of other timelines that spent time with Charles.

"Moon..." - He unconsciously said, catching Earrings off guard.

"Huh?" - She looked at the leader dumb founded since she has never heared him use his voice.

"Moon, with two branches on each side. Charles loves nature and watching the stars." - Henry signed.

"Alrighty! Got it, let me find the moon's and branches... Hm... It seems we only have silver and golden moon and branches. Which one should I choose, Sir?"

"I think... Silver, so it matches his headphones."

"Okay. You can go now Sir. It'll take a while until the Top hat is finished."

"Thank you." - Henry thanked and waved a 'goodbye', Earrings whom noticed this small gesture returned it with a slight smile on her face.

Henry left the room and made a bee-line towards Charles' room. He gently knocked on the door, announcing his presence before entering.

Charles was sat in his bed visibly deep in thoughts, Henry could notice that he was... Worried? Nervous?

"Nervous before you become a Toppat?" - Henry asked as he closed the door, staring at Charles who had just noticed the presence of the other party.

He sighed. What he was about to say was a half lie, but he has to go along with it. "You could say so." - He chuckled.

"It's alright Charles. You'll be fine~! It'll be just like the old times." - As Henry finished what he had said the words 'It'll be just like the old times.' echoed thru Charles' mind. It was what he said in that weird dream... But... How did Henry coincidentally say the same thing?

Noticing that Charles was once again thinking about something curiosity took the better of Henry. "What are you thinking about?" - He sat next to Charles, their eyes meeting.

"Well... I don't know if you'd uh... Believe me, you could say it's quite weird..." - Charles looked at the floor, pretending like it's the most interesting thing in the world.

"I have plenty of free time to hear you out Charles. I promise I'll try to understand you."

"Really? Thank you..."

"No problem. May I ask why you are blushing so much?"

"Oh right aha... So about the thing I was talking about!" - Charles clearly changed the topic, Henry didn't want to push him because it was pretty obvious.

"Well.. I had a dream where... I—helped you? Where you were in the wall and uh.. you somehow called me while I was on a mission. But since I was in my trusty helicopter I went and tried to... Help you—get you..?" - Henry's eyes lit up hearing this.

"What do you mean by trying to help me?" - Henry tried to remain calm.

"Well... I like... Crashed.. My helicopter. Into you..." - He replied awkwardly. Henry remembers that fail, it hurt getting hit by a helicopter into the wall even though he's been thru worse.

"Something's... Wrong..?" - The pilot looked at Henry who was clearly anxious or uncomfortable but still managed to murmur out a "No..."

"I can tell that you're lying Henry... Please tell me the truth, I want to help you!" - Charles grabbed both of Henry's hands, their eyes meeting. Charles' eyes filled with desperation and worry while Henry's eyes were filled with anxiousness.

Henry mumbled something under his nose, quiet enough so Charles couldn't hear it.

"Please..?"

"..."

Suddenly the men heared a knock on the door, they quickly got to a less embarrassing moment as the door opened shortly after.

"Boss." - Started the female Toppat member. "It's ready."

"Thank you Earrings." - Signed Henry. "Please get everyone to the Cafeteria, I'll escort Charles there." - He continued.

"Yes Boss, see you there!" - Said Earrings as she left the door in the search for the different Toppat members.

"Let's go, handsome." - Henry got up and lend Charles his hand, completly ignoring what he had said whilst the former pilot slightly blushed.

Henry and Charles walked into the Cafeteria and waited for everyone to gather in there.

"Is that everyone?" - Asked Ellie.

"I think so ma'am." - Replied Hat girl.

Earrings stood on Henry's left, holding the Top hat while the Chief and his Right hand lady were giving a speech.

"Once again, I'd like to thank you all here for gathering here." - Translated Ellie. "Cutting to the chase, as you may or may not know, Charles has made up his decision to join us and today's the day we will officially welcome him to the clan!"

Earrings handed Henry the Top hat as Charles walked up to Henry, bowing down as the other party placed the Hat on his head.

"Charles, welcome to the clan." - Whispered Henry as he signed something different.

"Charles. You are hereby announced as a part of the clan, welcome!" - Translated Ellie.

A/n: Man I really wish I could write more chapters sooner but I won't be able to do much as I'm gonna participate in stickmintober 2022 so I'll spend most of my time drawing.
