The moon had started its journey from the sky when the howl interrupted my dreams. Groaning I rolled over, unsure if I was in fact still dreaming. My joints felt stiff as if the running I had been imagining moments before had been real. Sure enough the howl came again. There was a sadness that filled it that broke my heart; 'go' the voice told me. Sleepily I did as she said, stretching as I stood, my muscles protesting as much as my eyes that wanted to stay closed. I hobbled out of the room, and down the stairs. Heading into the coat cupboard instinctively I grabbed my red jacket. Finding the knee-high wellington boots I slipped them on over my track pants and with the coat done up tight, pulled up the hood. The call was more urgent now, desperate and all I could focus on was getting to him. To William.
Through the freshly fallen snow I walked, the ground seemed to sparkle as the moon light hit the tiny crystals. My breath hung in the air behind me as I walked, the warm mixing with the cold. Finally hitting the forest the worn path was easier to move on, the canopy of trees above blocking most of the snow from falling to thick. My legs were aching yet my body refused to stop, the tingle like fire in my chest pulling me on. Deja vu hit me as I walked the path, the dark trunks of the tree silent as I past them. No creatures were out at this time; there was nothing but silence apart from the steady thud of my steps. Something moved behind me and I froze, turning to look the hood dropped from my head revealing my messy ponytail. The cold stung my cheeks and I licked my lips to free them of the dryness, looking around cautiously. 'I must have imagined it' I told myself, pulling up the hood I kept walking yet the feeling of being watched stuck with me.
"Hello Little Red Riding Hood" he purred as he always did when he saw me.
'No, when he saw her' I thought sadly but the other part of me didn't acknowledge it.
I stopped and spun around to face him. Despite the cold he had only jeans and a long sleeved black collared shirt. His blue eyes were full of lust and hope and being drawn into them I stepped closer towards him, breathing him in. The woodsy scent just as I knew it to have always been. My eyes scanned over every inch of his face in disbelief, this was it. It was really happening. This fairytale was more than busted.
"What big eyes you have" he whispered, taking a step closer. Instinctively I knew what was coming next and my body was practically shaking with anticipation of his touch.
"What full lips you have," his hand cupped my face as his thumb lightly brushed over my lips sending shivers down my spine as they had done so many times before. I closed the gap as my smaller form pressed against him, the moan escaping him at our closeness bought a smile to my lips.
"Is this real?" I asked his cheek against mine as he took in the sweet aroma he had thought was gone forever. I had dreams similar to this before, I couldn't handle finding out this was all it was.
"It is Elizabeth" The confirmation was all I needed and giving in to the voice in my head, I did the one thing I had needed to do since I had first seen him. I swung my arms around his neck pulling his lips to meet mine. No more words, no more stupid lines to work through. The sensation was unimaginable. Pure fire ripped through my body, exploding from my chest as his hands came around my waist and kept me tightly against him. My hands ran through his hair as the centuries of being apart disappeared with this kiss. The need, the passion and desire was too much, gasping a moan escaped me as his kisses trailed down my neck, his teeth grazing the skin along my collarbone which sent a shudder through me I had never felt before and disappointingly his mouth was on mine again.
"William" I moaned, lost on the ecstasy the moment was providing. His body was so warm and I craved to be closer to it, to have his skin on mine.
"Yes Elizabeth" he murmured, the sound of my name coming from sent a whole new wave of pleasure through me.
"Take me home" I begged. In an instant he had picked me up so he cradled me, my arms around his neck and legs around his waist he carried me home as I asked. He hesitated by the door as he put me down.
"What witch has been here?" he snapped, looking around cautiously. I flicked off my boots and hung up my jacket, frowning as I noticed how uncomfortable he was.
"You know her," I answered, not sure what his reaction would be.
"I can't come in," he growled.
If Parker and the brothers could, why couldn't he? Because she had blocked him from finding me, not Parker, not Eric or Fred. Ignoring the anger that appeared, I held out my hand and he it took it gently.
"Come inside to me William" I said calmly, my eyes locked on his.
He was torn; wanting to do as I said but the invisible force blocked him. He closed his eyes and tried, my hand felt a jolt of pain go through as if I had slammed it in the door and William doubled over in pain and I knew it was the shield trying to keep him out. But he was inside now. I ran to his side, taking his head in my hands I looked him over. He seemed dazed as he stood up, shaking his head he shivered. Pain gone he smiled mischievously at me. Before I could blink he had us up in my room.
"What was that!?" I gasped as he set me down by my bed.
"One of the many cool things we can do" he teased, his arms coming around my waist and pulling my back to him. We fell onto the bed and just as things got heated he pulled away, getting up he looked at me suspiciously.
"Why does your bed, actually..." he seemed to sniff the air, "Your house smell like Parker?"
I gulped, having forgotten about the earlier part of the evening. My body was aching to have him close again so I told him quickly what had happened. I thought I knew angry people. He gave it a whole new meaning.
"Ssssh!!!" I scolded him, "You'll wake James!"
In seconds he had strip the bed, moving to the cupboard he pulled out fresh blankets and a sleeping bag and set it up on the bed. I quickly climbed back onto it, reaching out and pulling him to him. Every party of me was glowing with happy, pure clean bliss. Clothes were discarded to the floor, as we lay tangled in each other yet as if sensing the reservation I had on going to far he never even mentioned it, just being so close together enough. For now. Despite having in wrapped around me, for the first time in a long time my dreams were empty of William or his wolf.
Instead I only saw Parker.
