The Hero and The Villain: A Forbidden Love (GXG)

A Blossoming Friendship? Or A Blossoming Romance?

Suddenly, the hero felt themselves falling, and falling, and falling. Celeste was beneath them, carrying them on their back silently. The hero couldn't help but scream. They trusted the villain and now they are falling to their death together. Hero screamed and screamed until their voice gave out and they had no saliva to swallow. Celeste turned to where the hero was falling onto their stomach. The villain leans forward, going in for a kiss.

"Hero, Hero!?" The villain calls out. Hero is shaken awake, standing over them was a distressed Celeste. They were dreaming. Where would that dream go before I was woken up? The hero thought. They shook that thought from their head and sat up and looked around. They were on a cliff. It was beautiful, there were snowy peaks and trails going in all different directions. On the edge of the cliff sat a fence and bench. Smart.

"Are you alright?" The villain asks while rubbing their bare hands together. "I am. Are you? Where are your gloves?" Hero turns their head towards the distressed villain sitting next to them. "Yes yes. I am quite alright. I had to take my gloves off and put them over your hands as yours was lost in transit." Celeste explains. The hero looks down at their hands. The villains gloves were in fact now on theirs. A light flush of pink appears on Hero's face and they quickly put their head down so it's not visible. "You didn't have to do that." The flushed hero says. "Oh no, I don't mind, I can warm my hands up quickly, while you cannot." Celeste explains, holding out their hands that are sparking with lightning. She's right. The hero thought. "Okay, but you will be getting these back as soon as we get back." Hero firmly says. The villain lightly chuckles and nods. The hero gets up off the ground and wipes any snow off of them. Celeste does the same.

The villain gets to the bench first and does the task of wiping the snow off so the two of them can sit down. The hero nods in thanks and sits down. The view was beautiful from up here. They could see the town and the yellow lights shining from below. How did I not know about this sooner? "Why are we here?" The hero questions. Celeste takes a deep breath before exhaling. "I wanted to apologize for the way I screamed at you the other day. It was rude of me when you were just asking a simple question. I hope you can forgive me." The villain fidgets around with their bare fingers. The hero places a hand over Celestes in hopes of the fidgeting stopping. "I forgive you. It wasn't that serious and I was acting immature. We're enemies, I should have never went to your personal home in the first place." Hero says, looking forward. Enemies. Celeste didn't like that word. But it was true. They are on opposite sides. Their not supposed to be friends. "I know...were not supposed to be interacting outside of fighting each other." The villain says. "But, I can't help but want to get to know you, Hero. I don't want to be enemies, or..or be the bad guy at all." The hero turns their head towards their so-called enemy. They removed their hand from atop of Celestes without saying a word. "I'm so stupid.." Celeste mumbles under their breath. "I'm sorry, I should have never said that, I should have never brought you here." She stands up and walks up to the fence, holding onto it. "Come sit back down, Celeste." The hero says. The villain proceeds to stand in front of the fence, not budging. The hero could hear them quietly crying. Hero stood up and walked next to Celeste. "Why are you crying? Stop it." They demand. The villain wipes the tears flowing from their dark brown eyes. Hero could get lost in those eyes for all that matters. Even though Celeste had wiped their face, the tears kept forming and falling down their cheeks. The hero turned their enemy towards them and wiped their tears. "It's okay. I want to get to know you too. Come here." They pull Celeste into a light-hearted embrace. "Shhh, it's okay."
