"Mali-" Celeste cut themself off as they looked around the empty hallway. They were still in the supervillain's lair. Dominique stood in the corner of the hallway. Celeste approached their sidekick swiftly, grabbing onto his wrist. "Where's Malina?" The witch's eyes pierced into Dominique's. "I don't know..?" Dominique answered. "Why? Why do you never know anything? Useless." Celeste let go of Dominique's wrist and walked back inside of Marvel's office. "Where'd you take Malina?" Celeste ordered to know.

"Exactly where she asked me to take her. Home." Marvel simply responded. "Then why am I still here?" Celeste crossed their arms. "Because I'm not done with you. Sit." Marvel pointed at the seat Celeste had been previously sitting in. She complied and sat down, waiting for Marvel to continue speaking, "So, what exactly are you to the Hero? Not like I've already figured it out, but I'd like to hear your side of the story." He poured himself a cup of what Celeste assumed was herbal tea. "Why do you care?" The witch mumbled loud enough for him to hear them.

"Hm? Well, it's simply not right. A hero and a villain. I would simply like to know why." Marvel sipped his boiling hot tea. "You sound like a hypocrite. It's not right for me and Hero to date-" "Date? Is that what you call it?" Marvel spit out the small amount of tea in their mouth. "Let me finish my sentence." Celeste scoffed. Marvel made a motion with his hand, allowing the witch to finish speaking. "It's not right for me and Hero to date because we're on different sides of justice, but it's okay for you, the supervillain, to be sleeping with the detective?" The witch leaned forward, putting their elbow on the desk and resting their head in their hands.

"Don't switch this a-around on me." Supervillain's cheeks flushed at the mention of the detective. "No, I think this is a perfect little conversation we've got going. You've 'bout ruined my relationship, so let's talk about yours." Celeste smirked. "Let's not forget who is superior here. Answer my question." Marvel shut down Celeste's happiness and spoke coldly. Celeste huffed as she remembered she didn't have as much leverage over Marvel as he does them.

"I don't know. It literally just happened. We didn't really think about it. There really wasn't anything to think about. We aren't even like official official, I kind of just started calling them my girlfriend." Celeste sighed, "And the more I think about it, the more it sucks." They buried their face in their hands. "Don't get yourself so wrapped up with them. You guys are not and are not going to be anything serious. You will never work out. There are plenty of villains that fancy you." Marvel rambled.

"You're not listening. I don't want to date any villain from the Agency. I like Hero." Celeste said in frustration. "Well, you're going to have to get over them. For your well being and safety. If not, I'll have to take measures into my own hands." Marvel smoothed out their shirt. "Can I go?" Celeste stood up out of the chair. "Yes, leave my sight." The supervillain shooed Celeste out. Without hesitation Celeste bolted to Hero's boss's lair. She has to be here.

The witch slipped inside, careful not to attract attention to themself. Malina had described the general layout of the lair in case of an emergency, and this seemed like one. The witch quietly knocked on a closed door. "I don't want to talk to you right now, Forrest!" Malina shouted from inside the room. Celeste peeked their head in and cracked a smile. "It's me. Who's Forrest?" Celeste slipped inside the room, closing the door behind them. "My boss. What are you doing here?" Malina sniffed and wiped their eyes.

"You alright?" Celeste stayed standing by the closed door, not wanting to walk any further in the room. "I'm fine. What do you want? I don't really want to speak to you right now." The crime-stopper stared blankly at the pillow sitting in their lap. "I um, wanted to check on you. After what Marvel said.." The witch shifted on their feet. "Depends. Was it true?" Malina looked up at Celeste. "W-What? No! It was all false, I wouldn't do that to you," Celeste walked closer to the woman sitting on the bed, "Especially as someone who knows how it feels to think their relationship was a lie. I wouldn't- I couldn't do that to someone else, let alone you. You know that, don't you?" The witch fidgeted with their nails. "I don't know what I know. Or believe right now, Celeste." Malina turned their gaze back towards the pillow.

"You can't seriously believe him? Right?" Celeste sat down onto the edge of the bed, slightly sinking into it. "If what he said wasn't a lie, why didn't you instantly come look for me?" Malina questioned. "Marvel pulled me into his office for a meeting after that. I couldn't get out of it." The witch shrugged, biting on their cuticles. "You really couldn't get out of it? You disobey orders all the time. Why couldn't you disobey this one?" Hero looked into Celeste's eyes. The witch looked away and stared at the door, not being able to handle the eye contact. "You're the one always preaching about how you can't get out of work and that it's important. But as soon as I do it, I'm the evil one?" Celeste questioned. "My work is important because it's hero work, yours is villain work. Those are two different things. If I'm so important to you, you could have come and checked on me." Malina responded.

The witch scoffed. "You know how horrible that sounds?" Celeste turned and faced Malina, "That's like telling someone their trauma isn't as valid because you went through worse." "You have to go before Forrest comes in here." Malina placed their hand on Celeste's. The witch removed their hand from underneath Malina's. "Okay. Goodbye, Malina." Celeste stood up from the bed, "Your bags will be packed and waiting in the apartment whenever you want to come get them." She waved goodbye before slipping out of the room because Malina could protest.
