"How are you feeling?" Forrest asked as Celeste sat down on the sofa.

"Fine." Celeste wrapped herself in a blanket as Nephele laid her head on their lap. The supervillain, superhero, and Malina all stood awkwardly looking at the witch. It was annoying.

"So," Marvel cleared his throat, "I'm going to go. We can talk whenever you're ready." He broke the silence.

"Same here." Forrest waved goodbye before following the supervillain out the apartment. The three remaining in the apartment heard a thud on the front door as they closed it. Strange.

Celeste stroked the exhausted black cat laying on her lap. That was something they had in common, they were both extremely tired. Not all of the time, but most. Malina seemed tired too, she wouldn't admit it, but she was. Everyone was so, so, tired. Something happened every day, it was like they could never get a break. Will they ever get a break?

As the two supers exited the apartment and the door closed, Marvel pinned the superhero to the door, putting a knife up to their throat. They seemed surprised before lightening their facial expression into a smile. This confused Marvel.

"How did you know all of that?" The supervillain asked.

"Know all of what?" Forrest smirked, smoothing out Marvel's shirt.

"Those things about vampire bites? What game are you playing?" Marvel pressed the knife closer to Forrest's skin.

"No game. What if....I just wanted to impress you." Forrest spoke as the knife nipped at their skin.

"Impress me? For what?" The supervillain was genuinely confused.

"You know why." Forrest carefully removed the knife from Marvel's hand and interlocked their fingers with his. Bold move, Marvel didn't reject it though.

"You know we can't. Especially now, I'm seeing someone, Forrest." Marvel looked down at the floor. The superhero placed a finger under Marvel's chin and lifted his head up.

"They don't have to know." Their eyes flicked to the supervillain's lips and back up to his eyes. The supervillain did the same. They tried to fight the urge, they really did, but Forrest was so tempting.

Marvel hovered his lips over Forrest's. He knew he shouldn't want to kiss them, but the temptation was real. Maybe just once? He lightly pressed his lips onto the superhero's. In an instant, Forrest pulled Marvel in for more, pressing their body onto the supervillain's. They were being hard on Malina and Celeste for dating, but here they were, locking lips in the hallway of an apartment building. It for sure was not the safest choice to be kissing in public, but they did not care. All they wanted was Marvel, even if he didn't want them.

Marvel held onto Forrest's waist, "We should stop." He removed his lips from the hero's. Forrest huffed, still holding Marvel's face in their hands.

"I like you, Forrest, I really do." Supervillain spoke.

"But?" Forrest asked.

"I'm dating someone, and you're the one who ended us." Marvel directed his eyes toward the floor once more.

"I only ended it because it seemed hypocritical to be dating a villain while scolding Malina for dating one too. I never lost feelings for you." The superhero explained themself.

"It still hurt like hell though." Marvel proceeded to look at the floor.

"Look at me." Forrest ordered. Marvel kept his head low, "I said, look at me, Marvel." The super grabbed Marvel's chin once more and pulled his face up.
