For as long as she could remember, Delilah Collins had been going up to Cousins beach every summer since she was 4.
After her mother passed away from cancer, her dad decided that it wasn't time to grief. Not when Delilah and her older brother, Liam Collins, were only so young.
So Peter Collins bought a beautiful white beach house right off the coast and the Collins packed their bags and made their way up to Cousins.
Susannah Fisher hadn't seen anybody purchase the house beside them in a very long time and being the person she is, she grabbed a few crossaints and pastries from the small bakery in town and made her way over. With her 2 sons right by her side
Susannah and Peter instantly hit it off. Both of them were raising two kids single handedly, and it didn't hurt to make a new friend. When Delilah and Liam were introduced to Conrad and Jeremiah, it was like something just clicked. The 4 of them spent the whole day together, swimming by the docks, sipping Kool aid and eating ham and cheese sandwiches susannah had laid out.
Then the next day the Conklins arrived, and their little summer family grew even bigger.
The kids were never without each other. The 6 of them spent every day of summer together, going back and forth between each others houses, running around town on their bikes eating ice cream.
Back then, the 6 kids had no idea how much summer would change them. They didn't know how much they would change with the summer.
They definitely didn't know that summer was the time for them to fall in love
