Mack Addison Wilson was by far the biggest sweetheart Delilah had ever met.
How she ended up with her heathen of a brother was the greatest mystery to mankind.
"and you just said yes?" Delilah asked incredulously as she helped herself to a mini sandwich that Susannah had laid out along with a whole buffet of finger foods.
The clambake was in full swing. Shayla and Steven were talking to John, Laurel and Belly. Gigi was talking to Susannah, Nicole and Conrad were in the pool, Jeremiah and Victoria were talking by the hot tub and Delilah, Peter, Liam, and Mack were by the back porch deck.
"yes, I just said yes, is that so hard to believe." Mack laughed from under Liam's arm.
Mack truly was one of the nicest girls Delilah had met. From the moment they started talking Delilah prayed Liam didn't mess this relationship up because she wanted to keep Mack forever.
"Delilah just thinks just because people reject her so often it would be the same for everyone else." Liam drawled. Delilah punched his side as Peter smiled kindly at the girl.
"You stay in Cousins?" Peter asked, Mack shook her head with a smile.
"LA, I live with my parents and younger brother."
"LA's not that far," Peter wondered out loud and Delilah raised a brow.
"Is this why you've been working so hard to save up for a car?" Delilah mused and Liam blushed.
"Delilah shut up!"
"You're gonna buy a car to see me?" Mack asked with a grin and raised brow. Delilah felt like gagging at how cute they were but she held back because -
"DELILAH! DELIIIILAHHHH, DELILAH GET IN HERE!" Jeremiah shouted from inside the kitchen. Everyone turned to stare at the boy but he smoothly tossed everyone a grin and shot back inside.
Delilah's face burned with embarrassment.
"Is that your boyfriend?" Mack asked as Delilah set her plate down to head inside.
"oh no, they're just friends" Liam drawled as he gave his sister a hard stare.
She pretended not to notice as she walked towards the kitchen counter. Victoria and Belly stood at the back with Jeremiah seated in front.
Delilah hopped onto the stool beside him and watched as Victoria blended a red icy mixture.
Jeremiah slung an arm around her shoulders automatically once she was beside him. Nobody thought anything of it, it was like a habit at this point.
"What is that?" Delilah asked and Victoria smiled.
"pomegranate margaritas." She smiled kindly as she poured the drink into margarita glasses.
