While Jeremiah went back to being a lifeguard, Delilah went back to her lounge chair to continue drawing.

The girl lathered on a bit more sunscreen and sat under her umbrella shade, sketching whatever she wanted in her journal with her airpods blasting music in her ears

Delilah didn't remember when her love for art started other than the fact that it only grew because of her mom. Her mother was always drawing with her, painting, coloring, and all sorts of things.

Ever since her mom passed she felt as if her love of art kept her mother's spirit alive. She felt that whenever she did any form of art, she could feel her mother right beside her.

As if her mom was there drawing with her.

Delilah had been drawing for a while. Jeremiah was busy yelling at some kids wrestling each other at the deep end of the pool.

Delilah let out a small smile as she got up from her seat, she grabbed her empty latte glass and headed over to the bar.

"Another latte please, less ice," Delilah said as she stood by the snack bar counter. Liam rolled his eyes at his sister but did as he was told.

"Here," Liam said as he collected her old glass and gave her a new one. Delilah smiled and placed 5 bucks on the counter.

"Del it's on the -" Liam frowned but Delilah just reached over to ruffle his hair.

"On the house I know I know, but I know how badly you need the money to save up for your car. " Delilah said. She waved goodbye to the boy and started to walk back.

Delilah sipped her latte and glazed around the pool, noticing familiar faces of people she'd seen in town. She wasn't expecting to see the familiar face of the boy she had seen last night.

"Evan!" Delila smiled, and the dark-haired boy snapped his head up from one of the diving boards where he had been slathering sunscreen on his legs.

The boy smiled and turned to face the girl and Delilah blushed. Evan wore nothing but his swim trunks and a lifeguard whistle. The boy gave Delilah a dashing smile as she walked over.

"Del, I didn't know you'd be here today." Evan smiled.

"Yeah I got kinda bored at home and Jeremiah convinced me to come," Delilah said as she pointed to the blonde boy.

"I was about to take over his shift. I'm glad I got to run into you." Evan said and Delilah ducked her head down to hide her smile.

"So uhm, I was thinking if you were free tonight there's gonna be this movie drive-in later in town. I was wondering if you would wanna go. Uhm, with... me?" Evan mumbled shyly as he rubbed his neck with a bashful smile.

Delilah couldn't help but smile even wider at how the boy acted so sweetly around her, she had to admit it was very flattering and sweet.

"Like a date?" She asked, Evan, blushed even more.

"Yeah, if-if you want it to be of course we don't have to make it a date-"

"Evan, it's ok. It's a date. I'll text you my address so you can pick me up later. Around 6?" Delilah smiled and Evan nodded furiously.

"Yeah, yeah cool. I gotta go but I'll see you later." Evan said before he walked away, leaving Delilah standing by the pool smiling as she sipped her coffee.

Delilah and Belly both stood in front of the mirror getting ready as Susannah sat in a chair beside them with a smile.
