"Oh... My god." You panted, hands on your knees. Jianyu had basically collapsed against the bathroom door, closing her eyes to regain her breath.

After that group of girls began to run at your group, Jianyu had snatched your wrist and ran like hell. You didn't know where the others were. Though you assumed they likely ran as well.

Now the question was, how the hell were you going to get shopping done?

"I-I guess—" Jianyu gasped a breath in, "I guess even Damshi didn't—forgot there'd be a lot of our fans around..." Jianyu let out a faint laugh after saying that. "All of us coming— w-was probably not... Not a good idea."

Suddenly, your exhausted expression turned worried. You frowned deeply. "Hey, Jia, are you okay?" You asked her, crouching down. She was able to meet your gaze, but it didn't make you feel any better.

"H-Huh? Yeah, I'm okay, I'm okay... Fr." Jianyu smiled warmly. "Just— need a second."

You put your cheek in your hand and watched her closely. "Okay. We can chill out here for as long as you need."

"Promise?" Jianyu joked in a lighthearted manner.

"Promise." You responded genuinely.

Why you gave her a comfort you surely knew she wasn't actually asking for, Jianyu had no clue. What she did know, is that she appreciated it. She reached a hand out, and you leant in as though it was the most natural thing in the world.

"I'm happy you got to come on this trip." You whispered to her. Jianyu soaked in every inch of your face. How it flexed and moved when you spoke, and relaxed when you stopped,

"I am too." Jianyu giggled happily. It was absolutely unreal to be able to feel you like this. She wanted to pull you into her arms, desperately so. But she knew she was sweating like a dog and... Ugh. "It all worked out so perfectly, too."

A little bribery didn't hurt anything, no? Her parents had to be good for something.

"Pretty much." You groaned a bit, leaning back now and shaking your head. "This last month or two has been such a wild ride though..."

Jianyu's expression softened. "For real." She nodded. "I've been so worried about you..." Jianyu had almost considered—

Ah, it didn't matter now. Now did it?

"Were you? I'm sorry." Breathy words fell from your lips, obviously repeated before. It made Jianyu feel a smidge more jealous than normal. Luckily for you, nothing she couldn't handle. Jealousy was a familiar friend. "I didn't mean to. You've been nothing but good to me."

"It's okay. We're friends. I'm always going to worry about you anyways." Jianyu giggled, hoping to reassure you. "But... I mean..." Jianyu hesitated. Your gaze snapped up.

"W-What's wrong?"

Why were you so panicked? Jianyu hesitated further. Why we're you do panicked? The question swirled around in her mind. Was it because of that ex boyfriend of yours? The one Ace had told everybody about? In that secret group chat you knew nothing about?

If it was...

Jianyu couldn't go there. Not right now.

"Just, please don't block us out again." Jianyu intertwined her fingers with yours, putting on pouty lips.

You laughed.

"I won't. Amon chewed me out enough for doing that already... You know them."

"Promise?"

"Promise."
