The convention floor was packed. So many people were all around you, and the stands— the stands! You'd never been to such a big convention before. It was so intimidating. Especially since immediately people were coming up to your friends.
You felt so awkward next to them at times like these. Of course, you loved your friends. They were all amazing— even if Jianyu and you were a little weird right now. The struggle came from within, and honestly? It pissed you off.
"Heartra?"
"Huh?" Your gaze flicked up from your feet, spacing back in to reality. There was the guy who'd asked you a question earlier at the panel. You recognized the oversized jacket, it was Amon's merch. And the hair— sea green and turquoise. "Oh, hey," You offered your best smile.
"Hi," he chuckled, "I was trying to get your attention, but it seems like you were distracted! I'm sorry if I'm bothering you."
"No, no, you're good. Just jet lagged." You rolled your eyes and waved your hands out in front of yourself. "Don't worry about it. What's up?"
"I just wanted to say hi... Ah, right," his light blue eyes lit up as he remembered something crucial, "My name's Aciesin in your chat."
That simple username made you gasp, your eyes widening. "Oh my gosh," you breathed out, staring at him in the flesh, "oh my gosh!" You laughed. "Dude, hey!" He laughed seeing your excitement.
"Who's this?" Ace piped up from your side, having tuned into the conversation properly now. He'd been distracted by a fan— like the others —, or else he would've jumped in sooner.
"Aciesin!" You told him, grinning. "You know him. He's one of the founders in my chat. And, like, my oldest viewer." Not that that meant a lot yet.
"Ohhh, right." Ace straightened out his posture and rested his left hand in his jean's pockets. "What's up?" Ace asked with a charming smile. His gaze flicked down in recognition, and he flicked a thumb over his shoulder. "Warni's right over there if you want to say hi. They don't bite."
"I said hi already." Aciesin told Ace with a nervous laugh. "Then I saw Heartra and, y'know," he shrugged, "figured it'd be cool to say hello..."
"Well it is cool. I'm glad you decided to say hi!" You confirmed with a firm nod. It was odd, how you were feeling so nervous just moments ago, and now you weren't. Ace had taken quick notice of that. And while he understood why, he really didn't like it.
Ace could put up with it when it was the others, begrudgingly, but from a stranger? It made his blood boil to see the gleam in your eyes, the way a soft blush rose to your cheeks whenever Aciesin laughed. He knew you looked at him that way too... And that just managed to piss him off more!
"Ah, I'm sorry to cut this short," Ace cleared his throat and flashed a charming smile at Aciesin, "but we have a meet and greet to get to. Perhaps you can talk more then?"
"Huh? But I thought that wasn't for awhile? Isn't that why we're killing time here?" You blinked in confusion, furrowing your brows. Ace's expression softened seeing the way your face scrunched up.
"Yes, but it will take awhile to get there," Ace gently took your hand, "don't you think?"
The small gesture had you heart racing, and all of a sudden you were wide eyed and short circuiting. Why the fuck were your friends so attractive? This wasn't fair. "Oh, y-yeah— probably."
