"Omg omg omg omg!"

A squealing Circute welcomed you at the door, pulling you into a big hug. Which was hilarious, considering her extremely tiny size. She held onto you quite tightly, and leant on you heavily. Not that you minded at all. You, of all people, were quite aware of how sickly she was.

So you pulled her in close, and rested your head on her shoulder. Circute could've cried. To hold you so close. To take in your smell. To absorb your presence. It felt like a dream she never wanted to end. Circute, suddenly, felt so lucky she could arrange to be here. To not be left out like so many times before.

Covestry came from around the corner and smiled warmly. "Hello, Heart. It's good to see you made it here safely." Covestry ushered for you and Circute to get to the side. Circute complied, but never let you go. Her arms solidly wrapped around one of yours possessively.

Then in came Dal and Amon, carrying your things. They put it all down by the stairs with all the other luggage. Clearly nobody had chosen a room yet. Though you didn't know why.

"Aren't Dal and I the last to arrive?" You asked Covestry.

"Dal?" She blinked. "Oh, you mean Kurobo. Yes. You two are the last." They nodded in confirmation. "I'm sure Claristo will be down soon, he was getting ready to go out."

"Go out?" You tilted your head.

"Grocery shopping. We're all going, but he arrived around a similar time to me." Covestry smiled in an almost cheeky way. It surprised you. "Though he arrived in pajamas..."

You snorted. It was funny to imagine a classy man like Claristo in pajamas. You wondered what he'd been wearing...

"Talking about me?" Claristo piped up, and your gaze went to him immediately.

The two of you locked eyes. A faint 'speak of the devil' from Amon rang in your ears.

Suddenly, you were hugging him. You didn't even remember moving your feet. You didn't even remember tugging yourself out of Circute's weak grasp. You didn't even remember any of the last few seconds.

But you'd always remember this.

Pulling Claristo into your arms. Being able to hold your idol-turned-bestie. His clothes slightly warm, likely ironed or tossed in the dryer. His heartbeat in your ears. His scent of expensive cologne.

Just... Him.

Claristo's arms went around you in return, and he closed his eyes. The others teasing and cleverly disguised jealousy fell on deaf ears while the both of you basked in the embrace.

Oh how long he'd yearned to be in your arms.

Finally.

You were in his cage.

And he'd never let you fly away.
