"Who did it?"
You stared down the group from the bottom of the stairs, eyes narrowed and arms crossed. Your group of friends, all excluding Jianyu, paused.
"Did what?" Dal was the first to speak.
"Who stole all of Jia's things?" You elaborated in just as low of a voice. "Because they went missing overnight, and if we had an intruder I would've heard it. So it was one of you. Who did it?"
Glances were shared amongst the group. "You're kidding me." You laughed out, putting a hand to your forehead. "Just— explain why you did this? I don't get the point. Jia's upset now."
There wasn't any reply even still. It caused your nose to scrunch up. Seriously? What was wrong with them? Were these your friends? The people you'd be spending the week with?
You could feel the anger boiling in your veins, threatening to overspill with no remorse. So with a scoff, you went over to the door. "I'll be waiting outside." You grumbled before waking through, slamming it behind you.
Even Amon winced at the aggression. "Okay..." He began, their gaze casted around. "Who the hell made that stupid of a decision? Because I know I'm that big of a dumbass. We all know Jianyu is a snitch." Slowly, his words rose in volume and aggression.
Ace considered it. "... I don't think anybody did."
"Not one of us at least." Dal piped up. "I know each and every one of you, none of you are quite so stupid or brash with your movements."
"So who?" Amon scrunched his nose.
"The logical conclusion, Amon." Damshi sighed, closing their eyes.
"And what the hell is the logical conclusion, huh?! Someone broke in?!" There was silence. Amon's outburst seemed to clear his head, the reality dawning on him. "That scumbag!" He got up harshly and began to storm upstairs. "JIANYU!"
"... Perhaps we should stop him?" Damshi suggested. "I'm quite sure he'll kill her."
Ace chuckled and stood up, though far more calmly than Amon had. "And would that be so awful?" Ace's cold gaze fell upon Dal and Damshi, mischief glinting within the ice.
"Only for him." Dal closed his eyes and lowered his head.
"Exactly." Ace went to the door and followed you out, not uttering another word.
"What childish warfare." Damshi couldn't help but groan.
"Childish is the nature of love."
"I don't prefer to think such."
"Then perhaps you've never felt love."
Damshi narrowed her eyes. "You know as well as I how I feel about (Y/n). How we all do."
Dal lifted his chin and opened his eyes again. "Mm... Perhaps."
"Perhaps?"
"You're far more restrained than any of us." Dal pointed out. "While I'm quite aware our obsession over (Y/n) is unusual, you don't seem to harbor any obsession at all. That's why nobody feels threatened by you."
Damshi fell silent.
Nobody felt threatened by her.
Perfect.
