Chapter 4

She adjusted to her new life. But she was only staying for so long. She knew that and she was starting to build a lot of relationships. Her friendship with Ross was nice and sturdy.It was a nice bond between the two. Rebecca grew to like him as well. He was a pretty chill guy and Rocky would ditch the girls every once in a while to hang with him. Its been 2 weeks since they have arrived and Todd has been giving them a brief tour of the place. Being away for 3 years kinda makes you forget a few things. But overall, Laura was beginning to fit and see her life starting to unveil itself.

"Come on Ross. Just give us a ride." Rebecca said. "Why should I?" He asked her, "Because we want to get Laura a little something before she wakes up. We planned on going shopping." She told him. "So? Get Rocky to drive you or something." He said lazily as he laid on the couch. "Come on. We would if we could and may I ask why your here?"She laughed."Its my mom's house. Its Saturday and I usually drive out here on the weekends to spend time with my parents." He said. "Awe. Little mama's boy." She laughed. "Yes. Yes I am. Considering I have my own home and life." He said rolling his eyes. She chuckled. "Moving on. Please just take us shopping. Rocky hates doing that. And I know you'd do anything for Laura."She smirked.

He got off the couch and sat up. "What makes you think if Rocky doesn't like taking you guys, then I will?" He asked her. She ignored his question. "I'll pay you." She said. "How much?"He asked. "20 an hour." She said. "Fair enough."He said. She smiled. "Yay! I'll go get ready. And make yourself look a little more presentable." She said looking at his outfit.He looked at himself. "What's wrong with this?"He asked her. "Just a little peachy that's all."She said. He rolled his eyes. "I look good. You make yourself presentable." He said looking at her messed up hair. She rolled her eyes and walked away. He sighed fell back on the couch. "Ross!!" His mom called. "Here it comes..."He grumbled and got up.

"No. This dress absolutely fabulous. Look at the designs."Rebecca fangirled as her and Rocky stared at the dress displayed out on the window of the shop. "If I had the money, I'd definitely get it."She said staring at it in awe. "Becca! There you are! I lost you in the shoe sale."She chuckled. "Sorry Laura. I got side tracked by this." She said motioning her over to the dress on the display. "Wow." She said also looking at it. She smiled. "Your skin complexion goes so well with it. You should totally get it." She told her.Rocky rolled his eyes. "I'm going over there."He said and stepped away from them. "Your really think so?" Laura asked her best friend. "Yes. Just look at it. And plus red is your favorite color." She said. "Okay. I'll go get the dress." She said. She screamed as Laura went into the shop to get the dress. Just then Ross walked up.

"What's she so happy about?"He asked Rocky. "Ugh...Girls. They were talking about something. I didn't really hear because they were fangirling most of the time. Long story short, Laura went in there to get this so called amazing dress." He rolled his eyes. Ross chuckled. "Pay up."He told her. She rolled her eyes. "Later. Now stop so I don't miss Laura walk out in the dress!"She pushed him. He rolled his eyes and gave Rocky a look. Both boys chuckled and looked at one another. "Girls..." They say together and laugh. She smacked them both across the head. "Ow."They groaned. "Boys.."She rolled her eyes."Hey guys..." Laura said walking out. Rebecca turned almost immediately and smiled. The boys turned to look at her. Their jaws dropped.

"I knew it! Look at you!"She fangirled. Ross looked away. Rocky checked out the material. It was smooth and silky. She showed off her legs and it showed her curves nicely. She turned to reveal the lacey shoulders with parts cut into it. "You look beautiful." She told her. "Awww thanks Becca. You like it?" She asked her. She smiled widely. "Of course. Look at it." She said touching the silky material. She noticed how he was looking away awakwardly. "So this is the dress?" Rocky asked. Becca nodded. She grabbed his hand. "Let's get some shoes! We'll be right back." She said grabbing Rocky with her. "Oh no. Not again." He grumbled as he was dragged away. Laura then turned to Ross. "Ross.." She called him.

He looked at her but quickly looked away. "What's wrong? You didn't make a comment on my dress." She said with her brown eyes almost completely noticeable. "There's nothing to say. I don't think you should wear something like that." He said and bit his lip not looking at her. She walked in front of him. "Why not?" She asked him. "Because that's not a good look here." He said to her. She tilted her head. "Do I look horrible? Its okay to tell me so." She said. He laughed a little dryly. "Its not that you look horrible. Its just that when woman here dress like that are kinda giving off the wrong impression. And right now I'm not impressed." He said and looked away, rotating his body from her direction. She looked confused. "Its not to impress you. I just like the dress." She said. "A dress that makes you look like a toy." He said. She gasped. "What did you say?" She asked him. "HEY! Look at what we have here." Someone called out. She looked in the direction the voice came from. There, a guy was looking at her hungrily.
