Chapter 33

"Dad. You know that more than anyone." She said taking a deep breath. "Laura. Sweetie I can't do that." He said. She turned around quickly and looked at him. "What do you mean? You'd do anything for me right? Then do this for me." She cried. Her eyes all big and puffy. The redness making her face look like it was swollen. "I can't send a search party for one person." He said. "But dad this person is important to me and you know that." She sobbed.He couldn't turn his daughter down for anything so this was kind of a shock to him.

"I know pumpkin but I can't." He said. She looked at him disbelievingly. "Your not gonna look for him? My drunk husband? He's out there somewhere and could possibly be hurt but your not gonna make sure he makes it to me safely?" She cried. He shook his head."No. That's not what I am saying. I just can't do it okay." He said storming out of the room. Now it all made sense. She paced back and forth and tried to gain balance. She couldn't so she fell to her knees where she felt a large amount of pain. She cried out clutching her stomach.

"Laur! Laura! Are you okay? Are you alright?" Her father asked as he approached her quickly. He shook her gently. "What's wrong sweetie?" He asked her. She couldn't do anything but cry out in pain. "I need a medic. A doctor now!" He shouted to the servants around the room. They all scattered around trying to call. "Hold on sweetie. I'm gonna get you care." He wiped off her forehead. "Dad. Please." She said through the wave of painful stabs at her. He nodded his head. She laid flat on her back and stared at the ceiling. "ROSS!!!!" She shouted as loud as she could as she fainted.

He arose from his bed panting. He rubbed his eyes and the sweat off his forehead.He looked beside him and she wasn't there. He looked around confused for a moment. He rubbed his aching head. He didn't move for a moment and took in his surrounding. "How did I?" He sucked in a deep breath. He leaned towards the end of the bed where he noticed almost everything scattered in front of him. "What happened here?" He asked himself. He didn't believe it so he didn't move and just sat there. He thought about it instead. Even though it didn't seem to make sense. He sighed and stared at the empty walls.

"She'll be just fine." The doctor said. Mr.Marano was more than relieved. He sighed of relief knowing his daughter was just fine.He held his head to take it all in.He took a deep breath then walked to her hospital room. He sighed before going into the room. She sat on her hospital bed playing with her feet. As she heard the door crack open, she jumped up in hope. She sat down and just looked at her dad. He sighed and took her hands.

She sobbed silently. "You didn't find him did you?" She cried. "No." He said. She shook her head and looked away from him. "Laura. He went back home." He said to her. "So you found him? But why did you take him back home? Home is where I am.And where he is, is home to me."She said a little bit mad at her dad. "We got him home safely. You shouldn't be upset. You should be happy." He said. "No. I'm not happy. He's not here with me." She said her voice fading. She coughed as she wiped her face.

"You need to calm down. Just take a moment to breathe. Look at where you are. Your in the hospital. Don't do anything you can injure yourself." He said. She glared at him. "I'm already injured." She said. He got up and sat on the chair. She sat back in her hospital bed and tapped her foot anxiously. "What's the rush?" He asked. "I need to go home." She sniffed. "You are home." He said. She shook her head. "We have been over this." She said and looked out the hospital window. Doctors walking rapidly.

"Your perfectly fine. Your good to go." The doctor said signing her release paper. She was more than excited to leave. She signed it and looked at the report. The doctor toom it and walked out of the room. She grabbed her bag and started to leave the room but was stopped by her dad. He stared at his daughter and shook his head. When did anyone come between them? He thought to himself before slowly releasing her. She walked ahead of him. He followed close behind her but a little far.

"Laura.Your fine." Sean said running up and hugging her. She forced a smile. "Yeah. I'm fine." She said. "What was the pain?" He asked. "Stress levels." She answered. Mr.Marano just looked on. "I'll be in my study." He answered and walked off. Sean cupped her face. He wiped off her dry tears. "You shouldn't cry over that jerk. Its okay. We'll be here for you." He said to her. She nodded amd got out of his grip. "Thanks." She said and walked inside the house. Mandi gave him a thumbs up. He smiled and followed in behind after her.

He shook his head. "I'm sorry." He said. She shook her head. "No." She said. "I'm sorry. Laura. He has said it himself. He doesn't want to see you. At the moment." He told her. She visiously shook her head. "No. He loves me. I know that for sure." She said. He reached over and pulled out the photos on his phone. "He destroyed everything." He said showing her the pictures. A tear rolled down her cheek. "Its not true."She cried. He showed her a sheet of paper. She read it and dropped it. He looked at her disappointed. "What did I say Laura?" Her dad asked. She curled in a ball and cried.
