Chapter 32

Laura slowly approached. Mandi smirked as her plan was now officially in session. "Dad?" She called him.He looked at his daughter disappointed.He shook his head in disapproval. He then slowly walked away. She looked at him through her teary eyes. But his glassy eyes couldn't see that. He just saw the happy smiling girl from earlier. The girl he couldn't ever make that happy. Even if he gave her the world.That smile will never compare to the smile she gives him. Nothing but hurt displayed on her face. Everyone just stared at them. Wondering what would happen next.She pushed him.

"You dare raise your hand towards my father?!" She shouted. "You dare raise your hand towards your father in-law!?" She said pushing him once more. He backed up as pure anger filled in her eyes. "What are you thinking!? What has he ever done for you to do that to him!?" She shouted pounding on his chest. "Your causing a scene." He said getting a hold of her wrists. She didn't care. "I don't care! You dare try to hit my father!?" She screamed as tears filled her eyes and started to pour. It was an unfair chance here.

"Its not how it seemed." He said. "Not how it seemed!? Not how it seemed!? Then how was it!? Where's my husband!? The man I fell in love with!? The one that promised me that nothing would happen like this!?" She asked. He suddenly bolted in laughter. He held the pounding fists tighter and let her cry in his chest."Where's my wife? Where's the Laura I know and love? This is the spoiled rich brat that daddy has made you out to be. That's not who I want. That's not I need either." He said pushing her back slightly.

"Ross...You are hurting your wife. Think about what your doing." Sean called out. A servant with a tray of neatly placed cake was walking over. Ross kicked the cart out of his way and bolted into more laughter as everyone gasped. "Hey! You stay out of my business!" He shouted in Sean's direction. He then noticed her just a few feet away. He walked over and clapped in her face to get her attention. "What is wrong with you?" She asked. He blinked a couple of times before actually replying. "Nothing. Its just you have never looked more beautiful." He said. She gasped as he pulled her head back with her hair.

"What are you doing!?" She cried. "I'm going to have you." He said pulling her so now her exposed back was to him. She cried as she wrapped her arms around herself. "This is not you." She said. "Then who is this?" He laughed. He moved her hair to the side and trailed kisses going down her back. "Ross stop." She struggled. "Get off of her!" Sean pushed him away from her. He touched his jaw. "Don't touch her." Ross growled as she cried in Sean's arms. He looked at heras rage began to fill his eyes. She knew it. She instantly back out of Sean's arms.

"Tell me sweetie.Tell me the real reason why you brought me here? I know it wasn't to show these people who you married.There was something else in it." He said. She looked down. "Lets go talk in the privacy of our home." She said still reaching out to him. He rejected it. He wanted no part of her anymore and she felt it. "Its good huh?" He asked. She shook her head. "You have no idea what your talking about." She said. He reached out and pulled her, pinning her up against the wall.

Everyone was too in shock to do anything. "You have no idea huh? How about I jog your memory sweetie." He said. She looked away and looked anywhere but at him."Daddy's little rich girl was only going to make a profit off of me. But its okay Laura. I'm sure one day you'll even corrupt the government. Your so sneaky. You'd be able to do it." He said. More tears flooded down her face. "I ...have...no...idea what your talking about." She sobbed. He covered her mouth and shushed her. Her father the returned from the shocking revelation. of earlier occured events.He ripped them away from each other.

He hugged his daughter and started to walk off with her. But she couldn't move with a weight at her wrist. She slowly looked down. There he held her hand. "Laura..." He said.She shook her head. "Let go of me." She said. He looked at her with wide eyes. "I said let me go." She repeated. He looked around and then back at her. "Ross let go of me god damn it! And you can leave! I never want to see you ever again!" She said. He looked at her as a tear rolled down his cheek. He bit the inside of cheek. "I'll never let you go." He said. She shook her head. "Let me go." She said once more.

He slowly started to let go of her hand. He did. He looked at her once more and stumbled his way out of the house. She stared at him as he walked out. Everyone following their every movement. The sound of the door closing shut brought her to her senses. He was never coming back now is he? "What did I just do?" She asked herself. She covered her mouth. "Dad what did I do?" She cried. She ran towards the door. She thought if she ran now she'll be able to catch him.

"Ross!" She shouted running towards the door. But Mandi stopped her. "No! I need to get my husband back! He won't come back!" She cried. Mandi patted her back and calmed her down. She cupped her face. "Not Ross. When he says something, he sticks to it. Please I need to catch him before I lose him forever." She sniffed. She wiped off her tears. "No such thing.If he loves you and cares about you, he'll come back. I promise." She hugged her.So she stood there crying on Mandi's shoulder.
