The guards grabbed her and tried to pull her off of him. "Be careful! Don't hurt her!" Her father shouted. She held on and wrapped around him even tighter. They were practically up against the wall buried with six big guards around them. She pulled away and hugged him. He smiled and hugged her tightly. He hid his face in the crook of her neck. "I want you to listen". He said breathlessly in her ear looking at her father from the corner of his eyes. "No. No. You love me. You won't make me do this. Please." She said.

Her father stopped the guards. "Laura!" He yelled. She looked at him. "What?" She asked. "Listen. Do it for me. Do it for you. Do it for us." He whispered to her. "No Ross.No." She cried. "Now Laura." He father said. "Flight 282." The intercom rang over once again. He looked at his daughter. Ross respectfully put her down on her feet. "What are you doing?" She asked as she held on. "I love you. And if loving you is gonna be like this, I'm gonna prove I'm worthy." He said taking her arms off from around his neck. "Ross no." She cried. Her body took hold of her as he handed her off. "Ross please." She said. He nodded. "I love you." He told her.

The guard then punched him in the face, sending him backwards. "ROSS!!" She called trying to get them to release her. He smiled at her and wiped off his bloody nose. "Stay away from my daughter." Her father said once more. Ross just smiled politely. With that, he dragged his daughter onto the plane as she kicked and screamed. She looked at her stepmother with nothing but pure hatred in her eyes. She smirked at her. "Your all gonna regret this." She pointed at each and everyone of them. The guards did what they needed to do and sat in the back of the plane. She wrapped herself in a blanket and covered her face. She pulled out her phone.

"What was that?" She whisper yelled at him. "I love you Laura. We will be together soon. I promise. But right now, I think you should focus on what your dad wants. I will prove to him that we belong together. Afterwards, I'll drive out there and come get you." He said. "Ross. I understand but this is not fair. I miss you already. I wasn't suppose to fall in love. Not yet anyway. But you came along. Please. Don't make me suffer. I can't have days, weeks, or even months of not speaking to you. Please Ross. Please." She begged. He sighed. "I know. I miss you too. But please." He said. She sighed. "You promise?" She asked. "I promise. And you promise to go through with it? No matter how painful it is?" He asked. A tear rolled down her cheek. "I promise." She said. "I love you." He told her. "I love you too." She said softly and hung up.

"Auntie! Auntie! Look!" Her nephew ran over to her. She smiled and picked him up. "Hey baby. Where's mommy?" She asked him. He smiled and pointed towards the door and held out the drawing he made towards her. She smiled and took it from him. "What is it?" She asked looking at it. "Isn't it obvious? Auntie..." He said rolling his eyes. She looked at it once more. "Is that me?" She asked. He smiled. "Yes. Yes it is." He said. "Who is this?" She asked pointing to the guy next to her. "Mommy was talking to daddy and she said auntie found someone. And I draw that." He chuckled and blushed. She giggled. "Aww.Batie." She hugged him. "Thank you." She smiled. "Your welcome. I want to meet this guy by the way." He said. She laughed. A real laugh.

"I thought your daughter's happiness mattered to you most?" She asked him. He looked down. "It does. But not when it comes from those kinds of people." He said sitting down at his desk. "Why does social status matter huh? Ellen didn't care for it. Why are you being so strict with her huh?" She asked him. "Because Vanessa, when you care about someone, you try to keep them in your reach for as long as you can." He said. She sat across from him. "Well if that's the case then your not doing just because you feel like but for a reason. What would that reason be?" She asked entwining her fingers together and staring at him. He shook his head and looked at the portrait behind her.

How he would do anything to get that smile on his little girl's face. She looked at where he was looking at. "Is that?" She asked. He nodded. "You have to make things right." She told him standing up. "Where are you going?" He asked. "I'm heading home." She said swinging her purse over her shoulder. "I'll see you on Monday sir." She said and walked out. His wife walked in after her. "Are you hungry?" She asked him. He stared at the photo. "No.I'm good for now." He said and studied the faces on the pictures. The happiest day of his life, he recalled.

"Laura....Open up please." He pleaded. She just sat on her bed staring at the door. She didn't want to see or listen to him at the moment. "Sweetie open up." He called. She looked down and away from the door. "I rather not talk to you at the moment." She said softly. "I'm sorry. Just lets talk about this shall we?" He asked. "Talk? You had him attacked. He didn't fight back and took it like a man. Dad he loves me and I love him. There's nothing left to talk about."She said. He sighed. "Please....I have something important I want to give to you." He said. She debated on whether or not she should trust him. Being herself, she got up and walked over to the door. "Would you like....."
