The Taxi Driver

Chapter 5

The guy roamed his eyes all over her body. She shifted uncomfortably."Wanna take a trip?" He smirked licking his lips. "Hey!" Ross called. She pressed her hands on his chest. "Ignore him." She said to him. "Come on baby. I'll make it worth your time." He winked. She held Ross in her arms as she seen his face start to grow in anger. "Ignore him." She said once again. "Your just gonna let him talk to you like that?" He asked as he grabbed a hold of her almost bare waist.It tingled as she pressed closer to him. She looked into his eyes as he tried to pull her off of him and out of his way. "That ass. Why don't you shake it for me!?" The guy called out to her. The thought of her not saying anything only made him angrier. "There's my mama. I'll make her call me daddy". He said. And that was it. Ross peeled her off of him and set her to the side and he walked over to the guy. He just looked at him in confusion but not for long. Ross swung and his large meaty fist came in contact with the guy's face.

"ROSS!" Laura called out. The two fighting boys tumbled towards the fountain of water. They fell on the ground with Ross on top of the guy, pounding his jaw in. She wanted to run over and stop it but it was already too physical. "STOP! ROSS STOP IT!" She shouted. Rocky and Rebecca walked over. They seen her. "What happened?" Rebecca asked. "Stop it! Stop now!" She shouted. She looked over and saw the chaos going on. She covered her mouth. "Rocky! Stop him!" They shouted. Rocky walked over and pulled him off of him. "Calm down!" He shouted as the guy was then taken away by security. They motioned for them to leave. Laura looked on in horror. Rebecca hugged her tightly seeing that she was shaken up. Ross looked at her. They made eye contact for a split second before she looked away. "Lets just go home." Rocky said. They all nodded.

No one said a word on the way home. She avoided looking at him completely. He glanced at her for a second then looked away also. She probably hates him. But that's kimda inconsiderate after he nearly just got arrested because he was defending her honor. As soon as he pulled into the driveway, she got out of the car. She pulled the dress down to its limit and marched off. "Maybe you should go talk to her before you leave." Rebecca said. He held out his hand. She gave him his money. He got out of the car and walked towards the house. "Lets go take a walk." Rocky suggested. "Sure." She said as they got out the car. "Do you think they'll make up?" She asked. He hugged her as they walked towards the park just a block away. "Definately." He said. She smiled and rest her head on his shpulder and continued to walk.

Laura marched in place as if waiting impatiently waiting for someone she didn't want to wait for. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. She looked in the direction of the door. They had a stare down for a moment as he approached her. "How could you do that?!" She asked. "I'm sorry for caring." He said sarcastically. "You totally ignored me! I told you to ignore him! But instead you ignored me!" She repeated. "Well did you hear how he was talking about you!?" He defended. "Yeah about me! It wasn't about you." She said. "Wow. Alright. You were just gonna let him talk about you like that?"He asked. She shook her head. "No! I just didn't want any trouble. Even if I said anything, was it gonna stop him!?" She asked him. He thought to it. "Maybe not. But that doesn't mean you let a guy talk about you like that! And this exactly why you don't wear clothes like this!" He said pointing at her. She looked down and then back up at him.

"What's wrong with this? I was just trying something new!" She defended. He ran his finger through his hair. "What's wrong with it!? Are you kidding me!? Your practically naked!" He said. She gasped. "No I'm not!" She said. "Think what you want. You saw how guys can be here and if you wore that back home then that's where you should wear these kinds of clothes but here, you will not!" He said turning to walk out her room. "When did you become my father!?" She asked him. "I'm just being a friend! What a friend should do when it comes to these kinds of things! Imagine if I wasn't there!" He said. She rolled her eyes. "Guys here are much different from guys back where your from." He said. "I appreciate that your trying to help and all but that doesn't mean you get physical with someone." She said. He took a deep breath.

"You know what? Dress how ever you want. I don't care. And I'll stay out of your business. Do what ever you like. I don't care." He said. "Ross wait!" She called out to him. "No. It's whatever. Your an individual. An adult. I'm sure you can take care of yourself." He said and walked out without turning back. He got in his car and drove off. She sighed and looked at herself in the mirror. "You beautiful." She told herself. But she didn't know why she couldn't convince herself. Its as if she needed his opinion to be sure she was. She sighed and looked at the key chain he gave her two weeks back. She smiled back and looked out the window. She had an idea. She ran into her closet and got a new set of clothes and quickly changed. She then ran towards Stormie's house.
