Todoroki POV

The next morning, I woke up to pain in my abdomen and arms. I first examine my arms that were wrapped up in a layer of gauze and bandages. I also notice I had no shirt on. I start to sit up but the pain in my abdomen was too much, so I lay back groaning in pain, turn over and grab Bun-Bun. I shut my eyes hoping to get rid of some of the pain. While my eyes are closed, I hear my door open. I quickly peek past my pillow to see Natsuo.

"Oh, good morning Shoto. Did I wake you up?" He questions.

"No, I was already up," I groan back.

I try to sit up again but it makes the pain worse.

"Hey, don't do that," Natsuo scolds me while helping me lay back down.

"But I want to get up," I retort.

"Fine let me help you," Natsuo sighs putting one of his arms on my back

while he puts the other one on my chest. Once I was sitting up Natsuo puts his arm around my back to help me stand.

"We'll try to stand on three," he says "1...2...3". Natsuo stands up keeping a firm grip on me in case I lost my balance. When we were both on our feet Natsuo looks over at me. "Are you okay?" he tests.

"Yeah, the pain isn't as bad this time," I lie to him.

"That's good. We need to change your bandages before we can go downstairs," he verbalizes.

When we go to my bathroom, he already has the bandages laid out. He first unwraps the ones around my left arm where the burns aren't as severe. There is a large burn most likely from me repeatedly blocking my father's attacks. He first applied the burn cream then rewraps it with a new bandage.

"So today we have your evaluation to see if you get the green light to hero train with your class," he speaks reassuringly.

"I know, I'm worried that they will say I'm still not ready," I answer with uncertainty.

"I know Shoto but we will be right there the entire time. I promise," he smiles holding my bandaged hand.

I take a deep breath, it hurts but I get out, "thank you, for everything".

"There's no need to thank me but your welcome anyways," he smiles. He moves over to my right arm where the burns and cuts are always more severe. He unwraps the bandages, the only thing I could see was blood.

I start breathing heavy, but Natsuo gave my hand a gentle squeeze letting me know he was there. I take a deep breath again and nod letting him know I'm okay.

Natsuo first took a cotton ball and put some rubbing alcohol on it and brought it towards my arm.

"I'm sorry in advance but we both know this has to be done," he replies with a soft smile. I close my eyes and let him do his work. It stings for a minute, but it was done.

"There, all clean" Natsuo smiles.

I look at my arm and I could see lacerations and burns. Natsuo applies burn cream over the burns then wraps it up with a fresh bandage. After this was finished, he helps me put on a loose V-neck shirt and he gives me one of my long-sleeved button ups to put over it. He then hands me a pair of loose jeans. Once I was changed Natsuo leaves to get himself dressed. I use the counter to stand while I brush my hair and do my eye drops. I was about to leave my room when Natsuo comes back to help me down the stairs.

"I think Fuyumi made some breakfast. Let's go downstairs," he says while helping me walk.

Once we were downstairs, I slowly make my way to the kitchen where Fuyumi was busy as usual making breakfast.
