A Different Secret

This idea came into my head about a year ago, and I didn't know if I actually wanted to write a story for it. It's such a classic trope/fanfiction story and sometimes they can be bad and seem a bit childish.

Of course, it took me until now how to finish it 🤣

After Keenry break up in S5, Tory finds out she's pregnant but is scared to tell Robby.

I'm keeping Piper in Cobra Kai for this story.

Tory sat on the hot stone wall outside the waterpark with tear stained cheeks, waiting for the bus when a car pulled up at the curb. "Tory?" Her best friend, Piper questioned. "What happened to you? Are you okay? I thought you had left ages ago with Robby?"
Tory tried her hardest not to cry at the mention of his name. "Can you give me a lift?" Tory asked.
"Yeah, of course. Get in. Do you want me to take you home?"
"No, not yet. I need to pick something up at CVS."
"Is it After Sun? Because I definitely got burned today." The redhead babbled.
"A pregnancy test." Tory said bluntly finally making Piper speechless for the first time in their friendship. "Shit." The curly haired girl swore. "Is this why Robby is seemingly absent?"
"No. Just usual Cobra Kai-Miyagi-Do shit."
"He's really not coming back, is he?" Piper asked softly and Tory shook her head. "Not even if you tell him-"
"I haven't even checked yet so there's nothing to tell."
"Okay." Piper accepted thinking 'Yet.' while also still trying to hope for the best.

Both girls cried when they saw the result and Tory cried a hell of a lot more when Piper took her to a clinic to get it confirmed.

The changes in Tory's physical and mental health were deteriorating her performance in Cobra Kai leading to Silver checking up on her, worried she might have been changing her mind about keeping quiet about the All Valley.

"Nichols, what the hell is up with you?"
"Nothing, Sensei. I'm fine."
Silver chuckled sitting in his office chair "Come on, kid. Don't lie to me. I don't want to sound like an old man but you've been acting a little too emotional for a teenage girl. I've seen you shout at the guys for complaining about having a cold before, and you've called in sick more times than Kyler these past few weeks..." Silver trailed off as he pieced it together. "Oh dear god... no."
"I don't know what you are talking about." Tory insisted going to stand up.
"Sit down, Nichols."
"Why? I'm not an invalid."
"No, you're just pregnant." Hearing Silver say it out loud made Tory sit down as reality crashed down on her again. "I presume the father is Mr. Keene." Tory simply looked away. "And he doesn't know." Silver realised. "Well, it will have good genes for karate."
"That's creepy." Tory finally commented.
"At least one of us has to plan for the future, Miss Nichols. I assume you haven't thought very far ahead."
"Trying not to." She said smartly.
Silver tutted "Here's what we're going to do: you are going to train separately from the class with friendlier exercises - we can pass that off because you're the champion and above the others' skill sets."
"Why? Why are you being nice about this?"
"Call me old fashioned or sentimental." Silver shrugged.
"I think a part of me was hoping if an accident happened while training it wouldn't be so bad. Is that a terrible thing to say? I mean, it's cheaper." Tory revealed chuckling sadly.
"Don't worry about money. Is that what you want to do?"
"I don't know. I really don't know. I want to tell Robby. I need to. He'll never forgive me if I don't - not after how his dad treated him - he wants to do better."

Piper continued to encourage Tory to tell Robby at every opportunity still shipping them and believing that they would get back together even without the pregnancy.
