-Food Over Laziness-

"Bon après-midi, la classe." started Miss Bustier once her students settled in their seats, "It is with great pleasure that I announce that our class has been chosen for the try-outs of the upcoming gaming tournament!"
Whispers and gasps of excitement were shared amongst the students, one of them a yell of seeming triumph that belonged to Max Kanté. The teen with glasses shook his best friend, Kim, trying to contain his excitement as he immediately turned to a fellow gamer.
Dealla absent-mindedly twirled the pen on her fingers, chewing on her bottom lip as she gazed at the door rather longingly. She sighed, putting down her pen once she saw Max waving at her at the corner of her eyes. Dealla turned to him, waving back boredly as Miss Bustier shooed them away to the library, where the tryouts were held.
Max dashed toward the girl once they stepped away from their classroom, a grin on his face, "You should try out."
"Non."
His smile fell, "Come on, Dealla!"
The said girl sighed exasperatedly, stepping in the library after she opened the door, "I'm too tired, Max," she said, staring at him with exaggerated squinted eyes to prove her point, only making Max let out a sigh of his own, pulling Dealla further into the library. "I have no time playing games."
"Really? Last time I asked, you agreed to play with me."
"That was like, two years ago."
"Two days ago."
"Oh."
"Wait, you play?" questioned Adrien to the dumbfounded girl as he stood beside the duo, a spark of amusement in his forest-green irises.
Before Dealla could answer, Kim butted in their conversation, swinging an arm over the girl's shoulder, almost squishing her, "You have got to see her play, man, she's a monster at it!"
A humph of pride sounded from Alix as she joined them, "Yeah, always winning along with Maxie, here," she said, ruffling the bespectacled boy's hair.
Dealla scoffed, a faint dust of red visible on her cheeks, but she said nothing. Adrien chuckled, eyes averting from his classmates beside him—more specifically, the girl between them.
She didn't tell me her first name and addressing her with her family name would be awkward, knowing she calls me by my first, Adrien bit his bottom lip, glancing at the nonchalant brunette as he mentally noted to ask Nino about it later. "Well, why don't you try out this year?" asked Adrien, keeping the mentions of names a minimum, "I mean, you and Max could win the cup."
The other three agreed, with the pink-dyed-haired girl laughing in triumph, "See? Even Adrien thought so!"
They received a sneer in return, "No. I'm tired. And I have so many things to do." Ah, lies.
Max pouted, furrowing his brows as he did his best to make puppy eyes. "Please? Just this once and I won't ask you to play for the rest of the year."
Dealla thought for a moment, long and hard, and she eventually agreed.
What's greater than the bed? A trophy. And happy people. Nah, erase that last sentence and make it 'friends'. I hate people.
