Hanggang sa napansin kong sabay na tumulo mga luha namin.

I wiped her tears and bit my lip hard before I kissed her head.

"I love you so much."

She smiled. "Inaantok na ako Maksimillian.."

At that very moment I really wanted to shake my head. I want to tell her that she should not sleep. I want her awake, still. My anxiety is eating me again. I'm scared. I am so scared she might not wake up once she closed her eyes.

Pero wala naman ata akong puso kapag ginawa ko 'yon. Kailangan niya rin magpahinga. She's facing a hard time everyday. She's trying the best she could just to get better.

I just nodded and smiled while my heart is racing.

"Wag kang mag-alala, bukas buhay pa ako. Bukas, mahal pa rin kita." She smiled again.

"Lalaban pa ako Maximillian hangga't kaya." She added.

"I know, Tangi. I know. I'll just be here by your side when you open your eyes."

"Magpahinga ka na rin ha? Dito ka na matulog sa tabi ko."

I nodded, even though I'm scared I might hurt her.

"I will, Mawi. Won't go anywhere."

"Goodnight, T-tangina-- Tangi." Ngumiti siya and covered her mouth. "Tangi lang pala akala ko Tangina. I love you."

I chuckled. She's so cute isn't she?

"I love you."

Muli ko siyang hinagkan at hinalikan.

After how many hours I couldn't sleep. I just watch her breathing or check her pulse. Para na akong tanga na minu-minuto ata ay sinisigurado kong meron pa iyon. Mabuti nalang at hindi siya naiistorbo sa ginagawa ko.

Another days had passed and I can see improvement but behind those improvement Mawi gets tired. Mas pumayat siya.

Sa bawat tapos ng chemotherapy niya ay siyang pagkahina niya. But that's the effect.

Nandito lang kami ngayon sa kwarto niya, I was sitting beside her bed. Tomorrow is her birthday.

"What do you want for your birthday?"

I asked.

"Kahit naman anong gusto ko, imposibleng mangyari. Hindi pa ako pwede lumabas."

"Yes Mawi, pag sa labas ay hindi pa pwede. Pero sabihin mo pa rin sa akin hmm?"

"Makipag-karera."

I smiled at her. My Mawi is so cool.

"We'll do that." Napatingin siya sa akin.
