Haejun was freaking out. Of course he wasn't the most calm person in some.. no most situations, but this time it was really bad. How could I have forgotten?! I'm a terrible boyfriend.

Haejun had forgotten to check his phone for his week schedule and saw that Elijah's birthday in one day. And Haejun hadn't prepared a single thing. He had only a one to figure something out to surprise his boyfriend. The boy didn't have much time to contemplate what to do as Elijah was waiting for him at the front door.

Haejun rushed down the stairs to see his boyfriend was parked in the driveway waiting for him. He wanted to freak out but he did he best to reel it all in and approach the male with calmness.

"Hey Jun." Elijah got out to open the passenger side of the door.

"You're still doing this?" Haejun asked, trying to appear normal.

"Why wouldn't I?" Elijah asked with genuine concern, closing the door behind Haejun and getting back into his seat.

Haejun looked at his boyfriend in slight awe,"You're really cute."

Elijah had a shy look on his face,"What are you talking about?" He drove the two of them to Kiandra's house.

"All the small things you do for me as a habit without even realizing it, I really like it."

Elijah was trying to hold back a smile, only Haejun made him feel this sort of nervous. Before the male could reply, Kiandra was knocking on the car door.

"Good morning lovebirds." She spoke, getting in the backseat.

"Good morning Ki." Haejun chirped, "How'd you sleep?" He asked, and the two of them began a playful conversation together.

Elijah just listened to the two of them talk to each other, seemingly energized even at seven in the morning. Fifteen minutes later the three of them were walking into the school building together, Haejun holding his boyfriend's hand while Kiandra went ahead to find her girlfriend.

"So Eli~"

"Yes Jun?"

"Did you happen to have anything you wanted to do for your birthday?"

Elijah shrugged,"I haven't really celebrated it fully in a long time."

Haejun gasped,"Really?! Not at all?" The shorter male turned to open his locker and Elijah leaned against the locker beside him.

"Nah. But I haven't really wanted something big anyways."

"Oh." Haejun began racking his brain for smaller date ideas. However, he couldn't help but feel like he should still go above and beyond in some way.

Elijah stared at the male, he could practically see the gears turning in his head. How cute. "Why do you ask?" I wanna tease him a bit.

"Huh- Oh! No reason.. " Haejun knew his face was getting warm. "Let's go to class." He closed his locker and turned away.
