I must be in way over my head. Why the hell did I ask for his name?

Elijah has been lost in his thoughts all day since he heard just a small bit of that conversation Haejun and that random girl were having at lunch.

His curiosity got the best of him when he remembered that he and the boy shared a class together. But the boy was usually quiet so he decided to ask him for a pencil as an excuse to ask for his name.

Haejun.. Haejun It's a nice name.. Hae-jun..

"Eli~ You're not even listening to me." Someone was clearly whining as they asked for his attention.

The entire team and cheer squad went out for food together as a way of celebrating their win.

"Yes, Alisa?" Truthfully, Elijah was getting tired of all this socializing, he'd rather be at home playing video games with his sister. "What were you talking about?"

"I have to find someone else to join the team to take Leilani's spot because she got injured!"

"Oh." What does that even have to do with me? "That sucks babe."

"Yeah." She pouted and leaned against his arm.

Elijah couldn't even remember why they started dating. Alisa was the captain of the cheer team, and somehow, just because he was the captain of the football team, people assumed they would be cute together.

And I gave in to that stupid ass pressure..

Which resulted in him stopping his antics of random hookups and just settling for Alisa.

He wasn't a fuckboy that spent all his time ogling girls per se, but usually when they came to him, he went along with it. Most of the time they just wanted a casual hook up too.

"That's unfortunate." Elijah pressed his lips into a flat line before attempting to rub his girlfriend's back.

He glanced at his phone and saw it was almost 8 in the evening. "Uh.. guys I gotta head home." Elijah stood up and Alisa pouted.

"You're not gonna walk me home?" She crossed her arms.

"Ah.. sorry I can't. My.. um.. mom wanted me to stop by the store as well."

Alisa crossed her arms. "Fine."

Elijah waved at the angry girl and left after saying goodbye to his other friends.

He tucked his hands into his pockets and left the restaurant to walk home. Something about sitting with that many people for hours just didn't bring him comfort.

He finally made it to his neighborhood when a familiar voice yelled and caught his attention.

"You never know!" Haejun whined.

He turned his head to see Haejun walking next to a girl.

"I can go home by myself!" Kiandra exclaimed as she pulled on her backpack.

"Just let me take you!" Haejun yelled as he followed the girl down the driveway.

"I'm literally stronger than you!" the girl yelled causing Elijah to smile to himself.

"Haejun go inside I'll take her home." A male spoke. He looked to be a bit older than Haejun with tattoos on his neck as well.

"I can go with her!" Haejun exclaimed.

"I don't trust you." The male deadpanned.

"What does that mean?!" Haejun was clearly upset.

"Guys. I can literally walk by myself." Kiandra was laughing at the two males.

It was then that Haejun noticed Elijah down the street walking towards his house.

And Elijah, not wanting to be awkward, smiled at him before speaking,"Hey Haejun."

"H-h-hey El-Elijah." Haejun was red again.

"Oh my gosh." Kiandra sighed with exasperation and grabbed Haejun by the shoulders before pushing him back into his own house so he wouldn't embarrass himself any further.

Elijah watched the spectacle with a laugh before the older male who was still standing there looked at him with a glare.

"Who are you?"Hyunjun asked skeptically.

"I'm uh.. a classmate." Elijah coughed awkwardly as he got to Haejun's house.

"What are you doing here?" Hyunjun crossed his arms in a confrontational manner.

"I live in this neighborhood?" Elijah looked at him in confusion before continuing to walk past the hectic house.

"Just stay away from my brother." Hyunjun spoke with a growl before going to call for Kiandra.

What the fuck?

Elijah laughed to himself, as he continued his walk home.

So yeah 🥴 Elijah's been doing some thinking‼️ Also I've been in bed literally all day writing bc I legit am not able to move without my spine crying for help 🥰
but at least I don't have scoliosis anymore~
