"Jun what happened?" Kiandra asked nervously.
"I feel kind of dramatic because we've never established anything.. but at the same time.. who masturbates with another person-" Haejun started tugging on his hair strands anxiously.
"Jun you're rambling."
"So I'm.. um.. I'm out eating with Elijah.. and we're at a pizza place."
"So happy tears? That's a date isn't it?" Kiandra asked curiously.
"W-well.. not happy." Haejun looked at himself in the mirror and willed himself to not cry.
Because if he cried his face would be red, and his eyes would look puffier. And he did not want Elijah seeing him in such a state.
He's the type of person to ask why..
"The waitress thought we were a couple. And Elijah said no.. and that we're just friends.. and he's right but ugh." Haejun looked up at the ceiling, willing the familiar burn of tears in his eyes away.
It's not fair... why did I do this to myself.. oh my gosh I'm an idiot..
"Honestly Jun, I think you need to confess your feelings to him."
"But- There's so much at risk if I do that!"
"Like what?"
"For starters, we sit next to each other in class."
"But Jun.. listen to yourself.. you're torn over this! Just tell him and get it over with. And if he tries doing things no strings attached you gotta say no." Kiandra spoke honestly.
"I-.. Okay.. Okay I'll do it.." Haejun sighed. "Fuck- I've been in here too long, he's going to think I fell in the fucking toilet. I gotta go."
"Bye Jun, tell me how it goes later."
"M'kay." Haejun spoke nervously as he hung up the phone and washed his hands before leaving.
Haejun sat down at the table and noticed his food was already there. "Oh."
"Hey, welcome back. You, okay?" Elijah asked, assessing Haejun's messy hair from when he pulled on it.
"Y-yes. Of course." Haejun took a sip of his drink and almost choked on it when he felt Elijah's hand on his head.
"What are you-"
"Your hair. It's messy." Elijah brushed it down and pulled his hand away.
"Oh.. thanks." Haejun couldn't make eye contact with the male, so instead focused on what he had in front of him.
The two of them are in silence, due to Haejun not really wanting to carry on a conversation. But that was mainly because his nerves were getting the best of him throughout the entire
meal."Haejun are you sure you're okay..?" Elijah looked at the male unsurely.
"Yep, I'm fine." Haejun shoved another slice into his mouth to prevent having to say anything else.
Elijah looked a bit disappointed as continued to eat his own food.
Finally, they both finished and asked the waitress for separate receipts so they could pay.
"Ready to go?" Elijah asked, looking down to meet Haejun's eyes but finding that the male wasn't even looking in his direction.
"Yeah.." Haejun spoke softly and walked with Elijah to the male's car.
Haejun sat down in the passenger seat and opted for staring straight ahead instead of at the male who's eyes were burning into the side of his face.
With a sigh, Elijah started the car and made his way to Haejun's house. The male stopped the car on the driveway and turned to Haejun.
"Haejun could you please just tell me what's wrong? I don't know what happened.. but you seem really upset..you didn't even try to speak once while we were eating." Elijah whined.
Haejun got out of the car and nervously took a deep breath.
"I don't want to be just friends like you told the waitress. I like you a lot. Like a lot. And I want to date you." He let the words out all at once before quickly turning around and leaving to go inside his house.
"..what?" Elijah breathed out.

It doesn't even feel like summer break. I just realized I've been on break for weeks but like I haven't felt like I've been doing anything even remotely fun.
