What's going on with me? Complimenting him and ruffling his hair. Elijah exited his fourth class of the day stuck in his thoughts. We're not even that close.

Ever since he became more aware of Haejun's presence, it was like Haejun was the only thing on his mind.

But he just wasn't sure why.

"Elijah!" A familiar voice called for him.

The male turned around to see Julian heading towards him.

"Oh, hey." Elijah smiled at the male and Julian had a weird look on his face.

"Are you going to lunch?" Julian asked, putting his hands into his pockets as he continued to walk with Elijah.

"Hm- oh! Not yet.. I kind of wanted to walk in the courtyard and clear my mind."

"Well, you can talk to me about anything..  do you want me to join you?" He asked and Elijah shook his head.

"Nah.. it's more of an internal conflict I'm having with myself." Elijah spoke casually pausing in front of the doors that lead out to the courtyard.

Julian looked around before whispering,"I kind of noticed you're not really attracted to Alisa."

"Is it that obvious?" Elijah sighed.

"Not really.. I'm just the type of person to see this thing. She hasn't noticed, and I think that's your main concern."

".. Okay.." Elijah let out another sigh, "I'm gonna go. If the team asks where I am.. uh.. can you make something up?"

Julian nodded and Elijah patted his shoulder,"Thanks Jules."

Elijah went out the doors leaving a nervous Julian behind.

Elijah put in his earbuds and started blasting Tyler, the Creator as he walked around the courtyard. Then he sat down on one of the benches and pulled out the lunch his mom had made him earlier.

I'm so fucking hungry..

He started eating the rice that his mom had made him. He was half Nigerian on his mom's side and half Polish on his dad's side, so there was always food in the house.

He almost finished the food in his Thermos when he noticed a figure move past him. Elijah looked up and noticed a male skipping towards the flowerbed across the courtyard.

..Is that..?

Sure enough, Haejun was there walking towards the flowers holding what appeared to be a notebook.

His outfit.. it's cute.. is that a crop top..

Elijah watched as Haejun sat himself down in front of the flowerbed and took out a pencil to draw with.

Maybe I'll just.. watch him for now.. At least until I figure out what's going on with me..

Elijah relaxed on the bench and took out a bag of sweet plantain chips.

He watched as Haejun stuck out his tongue in an attempt to focus on his drawing, and the wind made Haejun's hair look even fluffier.

Elijah noticed the way Haejun's eyes would flicker back and forth between the paper and the flowers. And the way Haejun would scrunch up his nose in frustration when he made a mistake and had to erase it.

Elijah realized that he had been staring directly at Haejun for fifteen minutes.

I can't stop staring at him.. maybe I'll just go and say hello..

Elijah took out his earbuds before he packed up his items and stood up to walk towards the male when the bell rang and lunch ended.

He watched as Haejun flinched from the noise, then hurriedly got up and ran back inside.

Well.. it's not like I would have said anything to him anyways... but I still want to see what he drew.

Elijah sighed and headed towards the doors where he was greeted by an angry Alisa.

"Eli."

"What?" He sighed, not in the mood to deal with her.

"Why weren't you at lunch today?"She whined and Elijah pursed his lips.

"I just needed a breather outside." He spoke.

Alisa frowned."You could have told me. I was waiting for you all lunch!"

"Sorry." Elijah looked at the clock and saw that class started in two minutes. "Look, Alisa I'm really sorry, I'll make it up to you another time. I gotta go to class."

Elijah sidestepped her with a soft smile, and went to class.

I need to end things soon..

I had a doctor's appointment and they took off the bandages they put on after the surgery and it hurt so much I cried. ✨ yeah❤️
