Virtus Exemplum"𝗪𝗔𝖨𝗧," Rory grinned aloud, pointing to the boy adjacent to her, her face contorting into one of remembrance, "aren't you the kid from the dealership who started a car in an open showroom?"
"Yeah." He grimaced, pursing his lips, "that was me." Robby's face turned a subtle red as he thought back to the discomfiting details of that day. Mr. Larusso patted his back humorously, slightly laughing to himself, "well, funnily enough, that's how we actually started our first couple of days of training."
Cromwell hummed in acknowledgment, crossing her arms together slightly, widening her stance, "so where do I fit in in all of this?"
"I brought you here today, Rory, to show Robby here," He motioned to him with both his hands like he often did, "how to find balance."
"Is she your student too or something?" He asked.
"Yes, she was, once upon a time." He replied fondly, "and now she's here to help you." Both teens gave confused glances at one another before the Keene boy spoke up, "I balance on my skateboard every day." He said matter of factly.
Daniel chuckled in despite of himself, "I didn't mean balance your body, I mean balancing your life." He sighed heavily, his body growing serious, "look, Robby... I know it's hard growing up without a dad, believe me..."
The boy's gaze shifted down to his feet, almost ashamed of the topic that Daniel was discussing openly, not daring to meet the eyes beside him. It felt like she was trespassing on a very intimate moment between the two and didn't want to overtake in any way, so she stayed quiet, and kept her eyes on the ground.
"Mine died when I was young, so I know." He started again, honey-glazed visions now skimming over Rory, "but when those bad feelings all weigh you down, you gotta, search inside for the good stuff, you know, and just..." Her watch drifted to his hands, which were making a uniform scale-like motion, "because then you can find some balance in your life."
