what it feels like to be in love with someone in many different ways —the rush of excitement, the anticipation, the passion, the fun, the romance, the yearning.
But to Rory, love didn't feel that way at all. Yes, all those things were a part of it, but it really wasn't the true essence of it. It isn't like how it is described in books and in movies—no it's different. Vastly different
It feels quiet. You're calm and centered. You feel a stronger sense of security—and this is the surprising part of loving somebody truly because you never felt as though your life was lacking before. This one very special person who you have chosen and who has chosen you.
You know this beyond a shadow of a doubt.
This is a person who is not expendable and cannot be easily replaced. The one you love truly is your touchstone, your witness through life.
Loving someone liberates you from the chains of always searching; you feel a greater sense of freedom in a committed relationship. When you really love someone, it feels warm and cozy, like climbing into a warm bed on a cold night. You feel like you're always home no matter where you happen to be.
And Rory felt all of this.
She felt all of this for Miguel.
But yet again, she was put in a position where she couldn't properly articulate her feelings for the boy because of his current predicament.
"I need to get high," Rory said rather pointedly, looking at Moon through her computer screen, "Like asap." The girl wiggled her brows, "Hotbox sesh?"
Moon laughed, "I Wish I could, but I have to get ready for my party in a few."
