get used to this," Miguel uttered out loud from the passenger side of the car, looking outside the window. Rory smiled, "What?" She slightly turned her neck to glance at Miguel before turning her eyes back to the road. "Being my passenger princess?"

"I don't know if I would word it like that—" He grimaced, sticking his hand outside the car window, "but yes."

She stopped at the red light, looking at him fully. "Why not? I mean you have no other job but to sit in the passenger seat, look pretty, and handle the music."

He groaned, "But being called that makes it sound so—"

"And I drive you around all the time."

"Hey." Miguel frowned, "I thought you loved driving me around."

"You know I do." Her foot pressed on the gas, "But do you—like have any intentions of learning how to drive on your own."

"Erm" His lips pressed in a firm line, "Eventually."

"Right." Rory drawled slowly, pulling into the school parking lot. He sassily rolled his eyes, getting out of the car and slinging his backpack over his shoulder. "Whatever."

It was Miguel's first day back, but for some reason, Rory felt more nervous than he was. He didn't know it, but he wasn't coming back to the old West Valley High School he once knew before. Everything—everyone—was different now. And not to mention, the two were officially together now.

He saw the anxiety engraved onto her features as they stood by the front entrance. "You okay?" He intertwined their hands to soothe her, "I didn't know it was your first day back too." Miguel tried to joke.
