5. ELYSIAN REALM: MEI'S FIRST TRIAL

As Mei was walking around the place she was summoned to, she was just mesmerized.
Silently mesmerized by the strange view.
This place felt as a dream, yet she could walk freely in it... as if she was in reality here.

Mei: "Is this a world of memories? It looks just like reality."
Mei: "So the Previous Era's human civilization once reached the unimaginable level."

A path, or seemed of a portal with a symbol on it appeared.
Mei: "What is this? Some type of portal?"
Mei: "Well, there's no use of thinking about it for now, let's go check it out."

One teleportation later...

...
...
...

Mei made it through where she had to be.
But...
Elysia wasn't with her.

Mei: 'Elysia?'

Mei doesn't mind her as she takes a look at her surroundings once more.
While in her thoughts, three Ancient Mechs appeared before her.
Mei: "The space is reset. Seems there are additional conditions that have to be met before moving on."
She starts attacking the MECHs effortlessly.
Mei: "This place is like a massive maze. It's unbelievable that such secrets are buried under the World Serpent's shrine."

CLASH!
CLASH!
CLASH!
ZING! ZING! ZING!
SLASH!

Two Ancient MECHs were finished, onto the last one...

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
SLAAAASH!

She finished off the last of them with her charged attack.
But before she should think further, one Storm, one Lightning, and one Ancient Mech immediately appeared before her.
Enemies appeared before her once again.
Mei silently went to go deal with them without question.

CLASH!
CLASH!
CLASH!
ZING! ZING! ZING!
SLASH!

KABOOOOOOM!
The Lighting and Storm were finished off.

Mei charged her lightning onto her sword, along with her oversized psychic katana.
And... SLAM!
As Mei slammed her sword down, along with the long katana that cut the Ancient Mech into two even from a far distance, immediately taking it out in seconds.

Mei: 'Is that the last of them?'
Mei looks to see any enemy spawn points.
As she was sightseeing the whole entire area, there were none.
Mei: 'Seems like it.'

Elysia: "Not bad, keep up the good work."

Mei: 'Elysia, again...'
But she wasn't with her, but was also with her.
What's up with that?
She isn't here with her, yet she's with her.
Mei didn't get it.

She went up to the next portal that immediately opened by her presence being a few inches away from it.
Mei:  'I see, when I clear the conditions, this is when these things do their job of taking me to the next place.'

Here was a scenery Mei was a bit familiar with by feeling.
Mei: 'This scenery belongs to an era that has perished... Kevin once witnessed the ending of the world here...'
Three Lightning Patrol - Polar Halo...

Without a second thought, Mei wasted no time on letting them attack.
Charge....
SLAM!

KABOOOOM!
One...
KABOOOOM!
Two...
KABOOOOM!
Three.

They all left together as one explosion.
What was even convenient for Mei was that they were in once single file line.
Easier to take them all out in one piece.
That slam attack finished the first wave of enemies.

Onto the second wave of enemies...
Three more Lightning Patrol - Polar Halo...
Mei: '...And now he's showing me every bit of it. This is an opportunity for me to know more about him, and the Serpent.'
