30. ELYSIAN REALM: THE SEVENTH TRIAL: "THE FINAL TEST"

[IN THE LAST GRAVE AREA...]
Mei made it to the seventeenth space, where she'll be tested before going to meet Mobius.
It was the same dark space she was in before but more intimidating.
And possibly more different than what it looked one space ago.
There was a path filled with pink crystal shards, thorns wrapped around them with a few flowers blooming on them within the perimeter of the large space.
Some were small crystal specs scattered around while others were as huge as actual rock pillars.

Mei walks through the crystallized path, eventually stopping in her tracks.
A few distance away from her, she meets the pink elf with her bow in hand, as if the elf was expecting from her successor the entire time.
Mei with no expression sees the amused look on her face, looking towards what's going to happen.

Elysia: "Hi..."
Elysia: "How do I look?"
Elysia: "You've never seen my weapon before, right?"
Elysia: "Isn't a bow the best type for me?"
Elysia: "Sometimes I'd walk onto the battleground myself."
Elysia: "This bow is my favorite and its color pattern matches my dress."

Mei: "So this is the trial you mentioned?"

Elysia: "Haha, don't be nervous."
Elysia: "I'm not stopping you, just blessing you for the rest of your journey."
Elysia: "Courage, wisdom, and beauty..."
Elysia: "You have what it takes to face Mobius, but still, I'm giving you a small gift."
Elysia: "Specifically, sharing some of my experience fighting Flame-Chasers."

Mei: "You mean Mobius is my enemy?"

Elysia: "How to put it?"
Elysia: "Enemy?"
Elysia: "No."
Elysia: "That's not how Flame-Chasers and the successors are."
Elysia: "But Mobius can't help doing things that cross the line, and you Miss Raiden, are so dazzling."
Elysia: "This is just me sharing tips on dealing with her."
Elysia: "A friendly conversation between two lovely girls."

Mei: "I don't seem to have a choice."
Mei: "Alright, I might as well make use of this learn from the only Flame-Chaser as strong as Kevin."

Elysia: "Ah, your compliment is making me blush."
Elysia: "But I might actually be a little bit weaker than Kevin."
Elysia: "But I'll work hard to improve."
Elysia: "Elysia will never let you down."

Not even a second later, the two immediately clash with one another.
Mei was a fast attacker indeed, but Elysia was faster to reciprocate the return.

Elysia summoned a pink shard shaped as a star in her perimeter of bubble.
Mei tried to slash her when the pink crystal star shattered.
It immediately formed a barrier, activating QTE (time slow) on Elysia's side, trapping Mei inside .

Elysia, who was now behind Mei immediately shot her arrow point blank with light speed.
Mei used her herrscher powers, to which she managed to break free from Elysia's barrier and slice the incoming arrow with her psychic katana.
Her giant sword immediately goes back to its sheath and the two distant from one another held their ground, not showing even one ounce of tiredness or weakness.

Elysia:  "Not bad, not bad at all."

Mei:  '...'
Mei:  'She's strong.'
Mei: 'Even so, there's no need to go all out unless I have to.'

Mei couldn't just go irrationally.
Mei had to think.
How can she go past this Flame-Chaser as strong as Kevin?
And what other abilities does Elysia have that she needs to be wary of?
While carefully pushing her assault, she thought of multiple possibilities how she can bypass the pink elf.

The problem was, Elysia has great attacking, evading, and defense skills.
Whatever slash Mei puts through, Elysia would push back Mei's slashes with her shots or she would bring her pink dots that form into crystal stars that form a barrier, to which trapped Mei in once.
Mei didn't expect this.
It was an even-to-even match.
The pressure was deepening by the second.
