Y/n: "Come to see me?"
Y/n kindly asks Mei in a soft and gentle tone while speaking to her on the loudspeaker.
She sits comfortably on the lounge, as if expecting Mei's arrival.

Mei: "Isn't that the loudspeaker Elysia got from Pardo?"

Y/n: "It is."
Y/n: "I wanted to try it, so here I am."
Y/n turns off the loudspeaker and gently puts it to the side on the couch next to her.
Y/n: "After using it a few times..."
Y/n: "It's not really in my interest to use this."
Y/n: "I can say I'm probably too calm to use this item."

Mei: "That you are."
Mei: "You seem too quiet and relaxed to use it unlike the rest of the Flame-Chasers here."

Y/n:  "Haha, very funny and true."
Y/n subtly chuckles in a calm tone.
Y/n:  "And so?"
Y/n:  "What brings you here, Mei-chan?"

Mei:  "Mei-chan?"

Y/n:  "Ah, you don't like that?"
Y/n:  "I can change it back to just 'Mei' if you want to."
Y/n kindly asks her.

Mei:  "Yes, please."
Mei:  "I'm not used to being called that."

Y/n:  "Then, what about Mei-senpai?"
Y/n:  "Does that work better for you?"

Mei:  "To be honest, I don't even know if you should be able to even use that nickname."
Mei softly sighs.

Y/n:  "Hm, why?"
Y/n asks her calmly with her small usual smile.

Mei:  "Not to say this in a passively rude manner, but you are older than me."
Mei: "And I'm also not used to being called that by others except for my friend."
Mei:  "So I will also decline to that as well."

Y/n softly chuckles while letting a small playful smile curl up on her lips.

Y/n:  "Truth to be told, I am tired of calling you 'successor' or your full name sometimes, so I thought of nicknames for you."
Y/n:  "But I wanted to confirm them with you to see which ones you feel comfortable with."

Mei:  "So that's why you were asking me about nickname suggestions just now."

Y/n:  "Yes, that's correct."
Y/n:  "Though you denied them all just now, you allowed me to call you by just your first name, so I'll stick with it."
Y/n:  "I actually think this is much better than just being too flat and too formal."
Y/n:  "It sounds normal and better."

Mei:  "If that makes you satisfied, then I'm glad for you."

Y/n:  "Thanks, I appreciate it."

Y/n: "She always likes having others around her calling her 'Pardo' or 'Felis', but never 'Pardofelis' because it's too awkward, stale, and formal for someone as carefree as her."

Y/n: "I also have a few more people to use as examples, want to hear them?"

Mei: "I might as well since I'm here."

Y/n: "My second prime example is Elysia."
Y/n: "Unlike Pardo, she doesn't mind being called her real name or her nickname 'Ellie' since she's also carefree, but also kind and caring towards others."

Mei: 'Though I am a bit suspicious about her at the moment.'
Mei thinks to herself internally.

Y/n: "I promise you, Ellie is very trustworthy."
Y/n: "To be bluntly told that you don't know her that well is an understatement, but it is true."
Y/n: "Given more time as you move along your journey in this realm, I believe you will understand why she is someone you can fully trust."
Y/n: "Or even relate to, if I were to add."

Mei: "Are you also a psychic like Su and Aponia?"

Y/n: "No."

Y/n: "I have a few, why?"

Mei: "Can I know what they are?"

Y/n: "My first nickname is 'Y/n-cchi', by Vill-V."
Y/n: "My second nickname is 'Quantie Hellie', by Pardo time to time."
Y/n:  "My third nickname is 'Y/n onee-chan' by Griseo."
Y/n: "And my fourth and last nickname is 'Fourteen'."

Mei:  'Except for Pardo, some of these name are not familiar to me.'
Mei: 'Who are they?'
Mei:  "Fourteen?"
Mei:  "That sounds more simple than the other ones."
Mei:  "Why is that?"

Y/n:  "CM-0014, to be more precise."
Y/n:  "It's my serial code number since I did become the fourteenth and last member of the Flame-Chasers."
Y/n:  "It was also a common name used for other missions I had at the time, to conceal my true identity to others."
Y/n:  "Many researchers during that time called me by this code many times, except for Klein, Dr. Mobius, Dr. MEI, Elysia, Sakura, and a few others."

Mei:  "I see."
Mei:  "So 'Fourteen' is a common nickname for you..."
Mei:  "..."
Mei trails off softly.

Y/n:  "Hm?"
Y/n:  "Looking at your expression, you seem to be contemplating about something."

Mei:  "There's really nothing I can hide from you at mere sight."
Mei: "I have another question in mind..."
Mei:  "What nicknames are you comfortable with most of the time?"

Y/n:  "Hmm, I would say 'Fourteen'."
Y/n:  "It's not only a number, it's simple to remember and it's commonly used to call me oftentimes."
Y/n:  "If you want to, I don't mind you calling me that."

Mei:  "Mm."
Mei subtly hums in approval.
Mei:  "I'll think about it."
