The wedding happened according to the rituals. Diya and Vivek were now a married couple. I was enchanted for my friends.

"Aarohi.." Rahul's voice made me turn towards him. I saw Rahul knelt down on his knees to my side with a gorgeous diamond ring in his hands.

My mouth wide opened on seeing him like this. "Please close that mouth of yours or a fly will ruin this precious moment of ours" Rahul said teasing me. Everyone laughed and I blushed embarrassingly, looking down and covered my face with hands.

"Ok sorry" he said and gave a genuine apologetic smile. I shook my head with a smile on my face acknowledging it purely as joke.

His face went serious as he started to speak "Life hasn't been easy for us. You came into my life when nothing was motivating me to stay alive. I was tired of life. I had become an alcoholic. I was ruining my career with the thought of eventually dying one day. But when I saw you, I fell in love with you at that very moment. The way you sandmg, the way you laughed, and the  way we interacted for the first time and the way you were so shy and hesitant during our conversation. Believe me Aarohi, I saw a reason to live in you. I found my purpose to be alive. I sae that superstar in you. I felt like just you being successful will keep me alive. I just gave you a helping hand but all that you are today, is solely your hard work, and determination. It is because of your talent. I was so happy, so proud of you." He stopped and let out a long sigh. I anticipated his next words, and he continued "But again, life had some other plans for us. Like, it didn't want us to be happy, together. And everyone here knows the rest. I don't have to repeat all of it." I gave him a sympathetic smile. "We have been through so much. I don't ever want such things to happen again." He kept speaking without failing to look me into eyes. "But I guess, whatever happened, was for my own good. I've been so lucky to have got this second chance. I could never realise how important, precious and amazing you are had I not got this chance. I now only know how lucky I am that you are in my life. You brought me back to life. I don't even deserve you. I made you cry so much.."

"NO" I contradicted him. I held him by his shoulder and stood him up. "We have already discussed this Rahul haven't we? Whatever happened, happened! You just said that whatever happened was for good. I  too hadn't realised yet how much I loved you until I lost you. Not only to you, life also has given me a second chance to cherish our love even more." I declared, and continued "promise me, we won't ever apologise to each other on this topic. Its kind of boring now." I joked to lighten the mood, and continued, "We will, together, live happily, focus on our career and love and trust each other, no matter what."  He held my hands and said "I promise!" We hugged each other and everybody clapped and cheered for us.

"God bless you both my children" Sehgal uncle shouted from his position.

Rahul took a  step backwards, kneeling down once more and presented the ring again. "Now that we are together, lets never get separated and for that, lets be legally together. Once we are legal, our relationship tied with legal papers..." He stammered between words.
"Did you study law all these years or what?" I stated as I was confused at his choice of words. He didn't say anything but constantly blinked his eyes.

"Just propose me simply by saying..." I snatched the ring from him, knelt down and said, "please marry me!".

He looked cute while staring blankly at me when I took the lead and proposed him before he did. "Please at least let me do this" he whined like a child. "You know what, I won't even ask you now!" He held my hands and put my finger into the ring and stated "lets just soon get married. Let's get together as we are made for each other." he sounded really desperate. "Yes yes obviously" I replied as I blushed at the final proposal.
