So I'm back ❤️, and to make up for the unannounced hiatus I took expect daily updates 🥰.

Third person POV

Evelyn stared at herself in the full length mirror in her room, not herself the shell of what used to be the most powerful fire elemental in safe land.
She took deep breaths in and opened her palms willing her fire to manifest.

She felt the familiar warm heat snaking through her veins, her eyes blazed but all she was able to forge were two little balls of fire that cracked and went out immediately.

Tears rolled down her cheeks, and she sank down to her knees. Her powers were slowly fading along with her.
After Devon and her slept together, it didn't even take a full day to realise something was wrong with her.

First she began to feel weak, then wierd black lines started showing up at her lower abdomen, and with each passing hour they kept rising, and becoming thicker and she realised that each time they did, she got weaker, skinnier, and her powers faded.

She had rushed to see Samuel (the doctor ), She didn't tell him about the lines, or how they were making her feel. She only told him about the pregnancy symptoms, and he almost tumbled over his favorite seat with happiness after informing her she was pregnant. Like she hadn't already figured that out.

He said he was so happy for her and Devon.

He thought it was something to rejoice about, and when she told him she wanted to abort it he didn't listen, and kept finding ways to try to change her mind.  He finally accepted, and with shock she realised that it wasn't dying. Samuel was confused, and she only took more and more of the abortion herbs but it didn't work.

At that point, she had showed him her belly and he almost got a heart attack from the sight. It was killing her, slowly draining her life they knew.

She continued crying, she didn't have to worry about someone hearing her she stayed alone, and everyone was busy with the final preparations for tomorrow's event so noone would know, noone could know.

The seer and general had noticed how her body was changing, how weaker she was getting, and had asked her severally if she was okay and whenever the seer stared at her with her double irises trying to see what was going on with her, she almost opened her mouth to say she was pregnant with evil. Because it wasn't a child, the scan only proved that it wasn't.

All she and the Samuel could see in the scan was darkness, moving breathing darkness, and he had cried for her. The truth was seers weren't as powerful as people believed they were. If you blocked your mind, manipulated your thoughts what you showed them was all they could see and that was why the seer believed she was just sick and had told the general to relieve her of all her duties.

She stared at her broken form in the mirror, all for what ?
Devon didn't love her, he only used her, only played with her and her emotions. She was just like the other shameless hunters and humans that begged for his attention.
More tears fell from her eyes, everyone was right she was whore.

He suddenly appeared in her room, other times her heart would rejoice but now her eyes bore so much anger as they met his through the mirror.

Devon stared at Evelyn, she didn't look like herself she looked ... defeated. Ever since Zethar had told him she was pregnant with his child, for some reason he couldn't face her, and anytime he summoned the courage to she would find a way to escape him. But not today .

"What are you doing he... ".

"You've been trying to kill my child ", He cut in.

Her eyes went wide, and she tensed.
"How ... How do you know ... ", She paused, and her eyes glazed like she had realised something, then she chuckled dryly as she got herself off the ground and turned her body around facing him.
