Devon teleported us to the clinic, and I saw Evelyn sitting on one of the beds looking defeated, while the doctor kept running his hand up and down her back mumbling things I couldn't hear to her.

I frowned trying to figure out what was going on, then the doctor turned to us.

He sighed, it wasn't out of relief because he looked troubled, and I could see fear clearly in his eyes.
"Thank the gods Devon, you heard me ".

At the same time, Evelyn lifted her gaze from the ground to where we stood, her eyes were sunken and hollow she looked so much worse than how she looked yesterday. She looked emaciated, so thin that I could see her skeleton very visibly.
It scared me.

Her foreign yet familiar eyes darkned when they landed on me, it was so intense I fought the urge to step back.

Devon made his way to her, "Evelyn what's wrong ...", He was about to touch her when she hit him hard on his chest, pushing him away.

"Stay away from me", her voice sounded like someone who hadn't had water to drink for days.

Devon sighed, "Evelyn please let me help you".

Her eyes flashed, and filled with tears. The doctor stepped away from them both, and I just quietly observed the scene.

"Help me ?!", She yelled, "If you want to help me how about you take your miserable existence out of my sight !".

I gasped.

Evelyn had never spoken to Devon like that, at least not when we were together. She praised him, she adored him.

What was going on ?

Her eyes went to me, and they held choking animosity, "Has he told you yet ?".

My brows bunched, "What ?".

And she chuckled, but without humor, averting her gaze from me to Devon.
"You are really something aren't you Devon ?".

"Evelyn you need help, there's someone I can take you to. You're just wasting time", he responded.

Tears rolled down her cheeks, and her voice broke, "I hate you, I curse the day I met you Devon. I hate you", she cried.

At this point I had so many questions.

The doctor spoke from where he stood, "Evelyn let's leave all of this now, you need help. Your health is more important than this".

She cried harder, and it tugged at my heart, "What's the point ? I'm already dead ".

"Evelyn ", I called softly before I could stop myself. Three pairs of eyes landed on me. "What's going on with you ?".

Her eyes raked my form.

Because of what Devon and I had done in his room, and how he had hurriedly teleported us here I didn't really have time to rearrange my dress. It wasn't strapped all the way through at the back, and I could feel that one of the breast pads wasn't properly positioned so one boob looked bigger than the other. And I could tell from the knowing look in her eyes, that she had figured out something had happened.

She shot me a smile that looked nothing like a good one, "Did he fuck you too ?".

"Evelyn !", Devon roared.

My frown deepened ... Too ?

"Evelyn there's no point of this", the doctor stated.

Her eyes flashed, "Stay out of this Thomas !".

He sighed.

Her eyes went to Devon again, "Go ahead Devon tell her, or do you want to continue deceiving her the way you deceived me ?".
