I made my way out of the clinic, I didn't know my way around here at all so I genuinely didn't know where I was going.

But by some miracle, I made my way to the entrance and surprisingly, Kate and Calvin were approaching at the exact time.

"Kira ! Oh my God we've been looking for you", Kate yelled as they hastened their steps.

When they reached me, they looked alarmed at the blood on my body.
Cal examined my body, "Kira are you okay ?".

"What's wrong ?", Kate asked softly.

Tears fell from my eyes, "I ... I hate myself, I hate the universe, I hate all the supreme beings that can't do a thing to save people suffering ".

Their faces showed confusion.

"I hate Devon ".

They exchanged a look, before Kate sighed deeply, and pulled me into her arms. I wrapped my arms around her, and with my face buried in her shoulder I cried. She stroked my hair tenderly as Cal spoke from beside us.

"We have to go Kira. Now !".

I nodded against Kate's shoulder, and pulled away wiping my tears with the back of my hands.

"Your eyes are red and puffy Kira, it's okay please don't cry anymore", Cal tried to comfort me.

I forced a smile, "Alright".

Kate took my hand in hers, and we all walked. Safeland was still celebrating, and once again I was reminded that Evelyn would never be part of anything again.

Tears fell from my cheeks.

The universe was cruel.

The tunnel was dark, and scary well for me I didn't know about Cal and Kate. Thankfully, we were able to move through it and now we were in a forest. Something about the whole thing felt off, I couldn't shake off the feeling that this plan of Devon's wouldn't go as planned.

Cal had assured me in the tunnel, that even if safeland got attacked, they could fight back. He said the damages would be low, and everyone would be fine in the morning.

Damages ... that word didn't sound right in my ears.

But I agreed with him. Safe land had thousands of hunters, powerful hunters, angry hunters that would fight with everything they had if the vampires attack. That gave me a little relief, just a little.

I rubbed my chilly arms in an attempt to fight off the extremely cold weather. Was it worse because we were in the forest, or because of the dress I was putting on ?

I blew my cheeks out, and kicked the little stones I saw on the ground. Rya was supposed to be at the end of the tunnel waiting for us, but we had been standing here for more than five minutes now and there was still no sign of her.

Why did I feel like something extremely bad was going to happen ?

"What's keeping her ?", I asked Cal.

He was about to say something when a voice spoke in my head.

Run !

I frowned

"... but she might take time".

I shook my head, "Sorry Cal what did you say ?".

"I said ...".

Run Kira !

"Hey guys !", A voice I knew too well reached our ears.

We all turned to see Rya. She was grinning, and had this foreign look in her eyes that I couldn't pinpoint when her eyes reached mine.
"Hi Kira", she greeted.
