The Not So Perfect Fairytale

Chapter 4

Mays POV

Dream

I was getting in the limo with mom and Luna to go meet my father and brother at the ball. Me being a little five-year-old I had taken a lot of time to pick out the right outfit. We started driving when we hit something and I screamed as the car flipped over and my mom held me against her chest. I hit my head as the car landed and I looked around in the smoke as mom and Luna dragged me out of the wreckage.

End of dream

I woke up to beeping and someone laying beside me. I looked around to see that I was in a hospital room. Rose was laying next to me and Megan and Luna were laying on the sofa at the side of the room. Just then Rose's brother walked in what was his name again?

"Hey, I am glad you are awake. I am James in case you forgot my name which you probably did since we only meet once and all. Anyway here is some food for you" He said and put a tray with soup and juice I smiled and take a sip of the jucie when I heard someone yelling my name in the hallway. I knew that voice too well and wish I had never met this man, let alone been revealed to him by blood.

"I have to go that is the ass whole that is called my father calling my name. I better see what he wants and kick him out if he is annoying." I said as I stood up. He followed me and made sure that I did not fall over. I only had a problem with my head and a few scratches on my arm from the explosion.

"What do you want father," I said and he looked over at me and smiled. He walked toward me but Lucka stood in the way of him he glared at him but backed off.

"You will come with me and marry the son of the dragon duke." He said and I looked at him with cold eyes. That man was evil and my father know it he just wanted the money.

"Why should my girlfriend have to marry anyone besides me," James said and pulled me into a kiss. What the hell was he doing? At first, I resisted trying to pull away but after a moment I let it happen.

"You have no right to even be her girlfriend I am her father and am in charge of one of the best companies in this city what do you have to offer her," My father said looking at him in disgust. Boy was he about to get a surprise.

"My brother is perfectly good enough for your daughter if you have any problems with them being together you can take it up with me or my father thank you and goodbye." I turned to see Rose standing there tall and proud she was in a pink nightgown. For a moment I would have thought that she was way older them her 10 years of age. My father looked at her and it looked as if he had just peeled the pants he looked so scared he turned around and ran out of the hospital.

I started laughing at him and Rose giggled as she returned to her childish carefree nature. I then felt myself losing consciousness I was almost recovered but I was exhausted and needed to sleep. James picked me up and I fell asleep in his arms as he carried me back to my room.

James's POV

I looked down at her it was Caroline's daughter. She was the girl that I was betrothed to. Everyone thought that she was dead but here she was I would have to talk to Luna that maid and take her back to my place to help her rest and then I will tell her everything.

She will fall for me I just know it I will just have to be careful about how much I tell her at once because it is dangerous if she remembers everything at once. I do not want her to get hurt.

Luna's POV

I do not trust that boy but he seems to care about her so I will have to let him take her for now even if I did not want to I have no right to say no even if I am her guardian at the moment I am below in rank to him.

When she wakes up she will have to make the decision but hopefully, she will be ok. The thing that I am most worried about is that he is said to be a playboy. If he breaks his heart there are going to be problems. We will just have to wait and see what happened.
