The Not So Perfect Fairytale

Chapter 15

(Two months later at Rose's father's funeral)

I held Alice as she cried. She did not know what was going on all she knew is that her sister and Rose were crying about something and it made her sad. We were all wearing black and were in the hall of Roses's castle. She was going to be coordinated as the new queen next week and we were all excited about it but today was a day of crying.

I walked over to the table with some food and set Alice down on the chair as she smiled through her tears grabbing one of the cookies off the plate and eating it. I smiled at her and asked Luka if he could watch her for a second. He nodded and I walked over to Rose, Lexi, Lily, and Abby.

In the past two months, me and Lexi and Abby had become friends they were nice and both loved some of the same things as me. They were going to stay here for a while to make sure that Rose was ok with becoming queen and that everything went well.

"If it is ok with you all I was going to take Alice to her room for a nap she seemed tired from all the crying she has done," I said and they all nodded as Rose started crying again hugging lily. I walked back over to find Alive asleep in Luka's arms. I smiled at the two of them and I and Luka took her down for her nap.

We then went back and the rest of the day was spent crying and holding each other. I hoped that Rose would be ok I could not imagine what it would be like to lose my dad and then have to take his throne not that long after.

On the day of the Coronation Ceremony

I helped Rose and Lily into their outfits smiling down at the two of them. They looked beautiful. Lily wore a light green dress that had a long skirt that was open in the front to show off a small white skirt that was underneath it.

Rose wore that same thing in a light blue color. I then looked over at Alice who wore a small green dress that fell to her ankles and her blonde hair was in fishtail braids. I then braided both Alice's and Rose's hair and got into my dark green dress helping Alice into her shoes and heading down to the hall with her as Lily and Rose waited for their escort they were being crowned today.

They were technically engaged now and were going to be crowned as queen and queen as long as nothing went wrong. I was praying that this all went well because I was worried that James and Geneve were going to show up and make a scene ruining this for the two of us. This was the day they were being crowned and they were also knowing that they were engaged. I was so happy for them.

I and Luka had something that we had just found out that we had to tell everyone but we decided to wait until tomorrow to not take the spotlight off of their big day. I smiled thinking about the moment that we were going to make. I and Alice sat in the front row next to Lexi, Abby, and Luka. I smiled at them and luke held my hand. I smiled at him and squeezed his hand for comfort.

"Hey, May we are going to head to a club tonight me and Abby would you like to join us?" Lexi asked smiling at us. I thought about it for a moment then decided to decline to see the look on Luka's face.

"No me and Luka are going to watch a movie and have some ice cream tonight maybe another time," I said and they both looked at me startled. I had always gone out with them and I and Luka would go together.

"Ok," Lexi said smiling at us and looking toward the stage where they had started announcing Rose and Lily. I smiled as the ceremony went on without a problem until they had me walk on stage to give my blessing to this union and crow. That is when the doors burst open and James and Geneve walked in.

"Wait! I should be crowned king not her she is too young and why would we want to be queens it is observed" He yelled as he walked up the stage. He looked at me and glared at me. I swear if looks could kill I would be dead. But instead of sending him back a mean look I lightly smiled at him.

"Thank you in your opinion but last time I check no one gave a fuck what you thought but by all means if anyone here cares what he thinks please stand up," I said with a smile on my face and no one stood up. I heard a soft giggle and saw Alice laughing at him. He glared at her and turned to walk toward her. I grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

"I think that the crowd had showed you how much these people value your opinion so I think that is time that you leave. Whatever happened to you? You used to be such a nice person from what I remember clearly I was wrong to think that you would ever be more than a power-hungry prince that would never take the throne" I spat at him as the guards escorted him out.

But just before the guards got to him he hit me square in the stomach hard. I had the wind knocked out of me and stumbled back crying. Luka ran forward and punched him in the face giving him a black eye. I then looked down and saw blood on my dress. I fell to the ground and blacked out.
