*Three Days Later*

Hunter was perched at his new desk, in his new, hopefully not temporary house. Well it wasn't his house, he was just staying here. It was Darius' cottage that he owned and stayed at when he wasn't doing coven business at the Emperor's castle.

Darius had heard about what happened when Steve returned to the castle. In turn, according to Steve, "He mentioned that Belos hurt Hunter and he was at the Blights, and Darius ran out the door before he could explain more." Then Steve apparently went to Raine to have them go after Darius. So yeah Darius arrived at the Blights house almost idmediatly after everything went down, and boy was well something...

*Three Days Earlier*

"Well of course he's gonna be mad, but that doesn't matter because we're gonna stop him," Edric said before putting his arms around Hunter in a comforting hug. Luz ran over to them and enveloped them both into a hug.

"GROUP HUG," she cheered. Emira ran over and so did a more hesitant Amity. As everyone was hugging the front door was kicked down and in stormed Darius in full abomination goop.

"ALADOR! YOU BETTER BRING ME TO MY CHILD RIGHT NOW OR I SWEAR TO TITAN I WILL-," he cut himself off when he saw everyone hugging, and transformed back into his normal self.

"Oh, Hunter, you're alright...um well this is uh-," This was the first time Hunter had ever seen Darius be slightly flustered before. It was honestly more scary than when he just kicked down the door.

"Wait, Darius did you say your child?" The voice appeared from behind Darius, it was an out of breath Raine behind him, tired from running after him, but not tired enough to catch Darius' blunder.

"What I um...of course not Raine, I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about, now um...Hunter, what happened to your eye." Raine stopped smirking at Darius and followed his gaze over to Hunter's now grey eye with a scar. Darius walked over to him and everyone backed up a bit to give them space, well everyone except Edric who stood behind him with a hand on his shoulder.

"Hunter...did Belos do this to you," Darius asked. Raine came over next to Darius and inspected Hunter's eye as well.

Hunter nodded slowly not meeting their gaze. Darius was fuming, anyone could tell, and he almost stormed back to the castle right then and there to tear the emperor apart, but something stopped him. It could have been because Raine was there, or the look on Hunter's face making him want to stay, but one thing was for certain, he wasn't going anywhere.

Before Hunter could even react Darius pulled him into a hug. Hunter wasn't sure what to think but hugged him back non-the less.

"Hunter, I am so sorry I allowed this to happen to you. I should have been around more for you, I should have been there to protect you, but instead I blew it, and I disgraced the name of the Golden Guard and my old mentor." Before Hunter knew it Darius was crying, a few tears sprouting from his eyes and trickling down his cheek onto Hunter's shirt. Darius was the last person Hunter would have ever thought he'd witness cry, besides Belos of course.

"Darius, you've done everything you needed to do. You helped me realize that I couldn't keep running from my past and in doing so I was able to remember everything and stand up to Belos. And because of you I did survive, and I was able to build up the courage to reveal myself and tell the boy of my dreams I loved him."

Edric blushed profusely at this, but started to tear up a little at the tender sweet moment. Raine teared up as well, so it nothing to be ashamed of.

After Hunter mentioned that boy Darius managed to re-gain his composer and the tears stopped. He released his hug with Hunter and his scary signature smirk graced his face.
