Goldric ~ I Can't Help Falling In Love With You

FRIDAY NIGHT SLEEPOVER

The group had just arrived back at Blight Manor after their shopping trip and dinner. They all walked inside and took off their shoes, we had to do this unless we wanted to feel the wrath of Mrs. Blight, or at least that's what Emira said.

Speaking of Mrs. Blight...

"Hey Ed, where are your parents?"

Ed turned to look at Hunter. "well..." He sighed. "Mom is always at work, doing things for Blight industries, and Dad is always buckled down in his workshop." Hunter nodded. He could tell from Edric's expression that it was a touchy subject, so he just nodded and didn't press the subject any further.

The 6 of them went upstairs to Emira's room, because she had the biggest TV and they were planning to watch a movie. Emira and Viney sat down on the bed and leaned up against the wall propping a long pillow behind them for their heads. They had a big green blanket draped over them. Luz decided that she would play one of her favorite movies on her phone. Hunter had no idea how her device worked. He would have to ask her sometime.

Luz picked a movie called "The Proposal." She started pointing out all the characters, and plot. Hunter wasn't listening much. He was too busy taking everything in. Just a week ago Luz and Amity were his mortal enemies and now here he was, with friends at a sleepover, watching an actual movie. It all just kinda shocked him. Everything was moving so fast. He has people now who truly care about him.

Hunter looked over at Edric who was fighting with Amity over blankets and pillows. Something about Edric was different than the others. Like he talked with Amity and stuff, but Edric just felt different to him. Edric was the first one to get to know the real him, but who was the real him. Was he Belos' little teen prodigy or was he just a really awkward teen with a sarcastic sense of humor, and whole heap of trauma. Everything he ever did in his life was to impress Belos, and it still was mean for that, but thanks Darius, Hunter was starting to realize he needed to take breaks and take time for himself. Time to be a real teen, like all of his new friends. This sleepover is his one break, and then he has to go back to the mission at hand or else he would never be able to see them again, and everything he just built over this week would be lost. 

Edric suddenly sat down beside him breaking him out of his thoughts. He threw a blanket over Hunter's head which caused him to lightly giggle. Hunter decided to push these thoughts away for now and worry about them another time, and just enjoy the moment. Hunter took the blanket off of his head and threw it over the two of them. Amity and Luz were sharing a bean bag a little over to the left of them. Amity had her head on Luz's shoulder. Hunter smiled at the sight. Then a thought crossed Hunter's mind. Should I do that to Edric? No Hunter he'd be wierded out and besides that really gay, and you are not gay, remember. 

The last time Hunter thought he was gay he was proven wrong by Belos. Belos pointed out how wrong it was and so Hunter adopted a new persona. And the last time he brought up to Belos his sexuality, that happened. Hunter pushed that out of his head, just like he did every other time he thought of it, but it still never went away. Certain things like that never went away, just like a scar. Hunter instinctively touched the scar on his cheek which didn't go unnoticed. 

Edric looked over at him and whispered. "Does it still hurt?" Hunter whipped his head over to him. "What?" 

"The scar, does it still hurt, I didn't really want to ask, but I can't help it." 

Hunter sighed and looked down. 

"Physically no...but the um..mental pain and um memory of it is still there." Hunter really didn't feel like talking about this right now. As much as he now trusted Edric he was wasn't ready to tell him. He wasn't even ready to tell himself.
