Edric was sitting at his desk working on some illusions homework. It was rather easy, illusions was the main topic that Edric excelled at. Every other subject he was just kind of decent at. Emira excelled at everything, she had an easier time paying attention. Edric was alot like his dad, he gets distracted easily. Just like today in class...

Edric caught first glance of Hunter and he was idmediatly hooked. Although Hunter did bump into him first, it more so a fateful meeting. Much like my meeting with the Golden Guard... That's different though, with the Golden Guard it was love at first sight, and with Hunter I was just destined to become his first friend at school. Edric smiled at the thought of future free classes at the library. Hunter was a great listener. He also had a really cute voice, it was almost like Edric had heard it before, it sounded very familiar. Edric shrugged to himself, he probably heard something like it on a crystal ball somewhere.

Edric continued his homework until he finished at 8 p.m. Just in time for him to get up and stare out his window again hoping to see the Golden Guard. Emira told him it was borderline obsession, but Edric preferred the term admiration. As he was standing there, the Golden Guard wasn't coming to his mind, someone else was. Hunter for some reason kept appearing in his mind. All Edric could think of was his pretty fluffy blonde hair, with that adorable placed loose hair in the front. Edric thought about his scar. He wondered how he had gotten it. He didn't bother ask though, as to not be rude, maybe he should tomorrow, maybe that would be a good way to get to know him better.

Suddenly he saw him, the beautiful Golden Guard on his staff flying around over by the clearing again. This time on impulse Edric called out to him.

"Oh Goldie!!!!" Edric really hoped he didn't wake anyone else up. The Golden Guard looked up as if hearing something and looked around. He faced Edric's direction and awkwardly waved. Edric waved for him to come over and there, so he slowly flew over to the window.

"Hey Goldie, how's it going handsome?"

The Golden Guard perched the staff and sat on it. "It was, actually it wasn't all the that bad." He said in the a slightly happy tone.

"Really, is it because you're seeing me now, am I the highlight of your day?" Man you are down bad.

The Golden Guard shook his head in a way that told Edric he was rolling his eyes. "Not necessarily, why'd you call me over here?" He said in a slightly frustrated voice. 

Edric frowned. I guess he's not in a lighthearted mood. The Golden Guard seemed to notice that he was upset.

"Hey, I'm sorry, it's just nightly patrols are always stressful and the Emperor is always watching me, and I'm scared he'll see me here, and I don't want anything bad to happen to you." The Golden Guard said the last part with a bit of softness laced in his voice. It caused Edric to blush and his pale now pink skill illuminated in the moonlight.

"Awww Goldie, ya have a soft spot for me?" Edric said in his normal flirtatious way.

"Maybe..." Edric blushed even harder.

"Well I should get going, see you tomorrow Edric." And with that the Golden Guard flew off giving Edric the same finger guns he gave him that first time. As he was flying away Edric swore he could hear a feint curse word but he was unsure. Edric was estatic. He said he'll see me, he's coming back here tomorrow!

"Yes!!! Yes, yes, yes,!" Edric jumped up and down pumping his fist in the air. He started to do a little victory dance and hummed the tune to the Groove Tonight song by that element band Luz showed him one time. Suddenly his silly dance was interrupted.

"Ahem." Edric froze and turned to face Emira with her arms crossed giving him a stern concerned look.

He looked down embarrassed. "Oh um, hey Em what's up?"

Emira scoffed. "What's up? What's up with you? Another late night chat with your oh so precious Golden Guard. Your obsessed!"

"Hey Em, I'm sorry, but I can't help the way I feel about him."

Emira sighed. "I know, it's fine, I'm not mad, besides he seems to be warming up to you." She smiled.

Edric jumped. "Really!?"

"Go to bed, we have school tomorrow, and don't lay awake tonight thinking about him."

Edric smiled to himself. "Oh I won't." I totally will...

Meanwhile...

Back at Hunter's room Hunter was pacing around. "Shit I said that I'll see him tomorrow, has he figured out I'm Hunter, no he couldn't, Edric is smart, but not that smart, ugh damn you Hunter!!!" Suddenly an idea popped into his head. "Ok it's fine, all I need to do is visit him tomorrow as the Golden Guard at his window again, no problem, except..." Hunter sighed. Hunter you promised yourself that you would stop going there. You are barely even friends, so what's the point. Besides Belos could get the wrong idea and then you'd both be in trouble. Hunter came to a conclusion.

"Ok tomorrow will be the last time I see him, and that is it, I don't want anything to do with him anymore that involves the Golden Guard." Hunter smiled to himself.

"Hunter on the other hand can see him whenever so I learn as much as I can about the human, and finally Belos will be proud." Hunter finally crawled into bed and awaited sleep.

Much shorter chapter compared to the last one but this one is little less plot and more just fluff and character building. Hope you enjoyed and feel free to comment what you think. <3
