Chapter 10

They reached Malaysia the next day around 10am. The flight was fine. But long. Very long.
After checking out, Samaira and Hannan saw Hamid and his son Omar waiting at the airport to receive them.

"Assalamualaikum bhaijan!"
Hamid hugged Hannan and then Samaira.
"It's been so long! MaShaAllah! Samaira dear! You've grown so much!", she chuckled shyly.

"Assalamualaikum chachu. You've also become more handsome than I remember!", they all laughed.

"Hey!", Omar greeted his cousin sister.

"Assalamualaikum Omar. You're a grown up now! How are you?"

"Walaikumassalam. Alhamdulillah fine. You're also a beautiful young lady, I see!", he joked.

"Oh, Jazakallah. By the way, you know we're foster siblings, right?"

"Yeah. Bummer!", he faked sadness and then both laughed at their silliness and hugged it out.

They went to Hamid's house which was far from the airport but close to Samaira's university. They were welcomed by Hamid's wife, Afsana and daughter Iqra. They greeted each other.

"MaShaAllah dear. You've become so beautiful. You were so little when we saw you last!", Afsana exclaimed. Samaira gave a shy smile.

"I'm seeing you after so long di! I'm so happy that you're gonna stay with us. We'll have a lot of fun InShaAllah!", Iqra was excited.

The Sheikh brothers used live together in New Zealand and Samaira, Sahil, Sara, Omar and Iqra are Foster siblings. After 3 years of Omar's birth, Hamid, with his family, moved to Malaysia due to his job. They had met approximately 7-8 years ago, after that, Hamid had visited them in New Zealand, but the others couldn't. They used to text often though. Yet, they had a lot to catch up on.

Iqra took Samaira to her room. She will be staying in Iqra's room. The room had a queen sized bed where two people could sleep easily. They had already emptied a section in the wardrobe for her. Samaira knew she would be able to live here comfortably.

After getting freshed, they had their breakfast. Then Samaira unpacked her luggage and set her cupboard. Then she chatted with Afsana and Iqra while they were cooking because they didn't let her help.

After they had their lunch, they took some rest. Everyone was really happy with their gifts. Soon it was night and they slept after dinner. Since they were all tired, they couldn't do much.

The next day, Omar took Samaira and Hannan to the university. They did the admission formalities and finally Samaira was a student of the University of Science, Malaysia. There were still around 3 weeks for the classes to start though.

The week went by buying books for Samaira's university. In between, Omar and Iqra had been taking them to some places. Malaysia is truly beautiful. The natural beauty Allah has bestowed upon this country, amazed Samaira.

Tomorrow Hanann is going back to New Zealand. Samaira helped him with the luggage and they spent some time together. Hannan advised her to be good like she always is. He also told her to ask for anything to him when needed without hesitation. She would just have to make a call. Samaira was just listening to him. She loves him too much and he knows it too. She knows she'll miss all of them too much, but InShaAllah she will make them proud. After giving her a hug and kiss on the forehead, they both went to sleep.

Next morning all woke up and without Afsana everyone went to drop Hannan off at the airport. Samaira was sitting beside Hannan, keeping her head on his shoulder while waiting for his boarding. The announcement of boarding went off and she hugged him tighter.
