Samaira, Ayesha and Zara had come to the mall for shopping for the baby. Samaira was going crazy, trying to buy everything they found cute; well, she had special instructions from Zaif and Sara because they couldn't come due to their classes. Zara had a hard time controlling her. Ayesha was enjoying the show though.
Finally, after 1 hour, they decided it was enough for now; relieving Zara. They were sitting in a coffee shop,
"So, what are you guys planning to do now? Higher studies or job?", Zara asked the others.
"We both have applied to the same place for a job. Let's see if we get in!", Samaira replied.
"Yeah. The 2 years alone were suffocating. I hope we get a job at the same place!", Ayesha sighed.
"InShaAllah you'll get it. You guys are good students anyways," the others muttered InShaAllah too.
"Well....have you guys thought anything about marriage? Is there anyone I need to know about about?", Zara wiggled her eyebrows.
"Ya Allah Zara di! Not you too! Why is everyone talking about the same thing?", Samaira groaned.
"What? Who else did?", Zara asked being curious.
Samaira told them about Omar's and Safia's idea and also about Farida's emotional outburst. Leaving out the Zain part though. Zara and Ayesha were now a laughing mess. Though Ayesha was giving Samaira a knowing look.
"Well, it's a good idea though!", Zara was laughing again seeing Samaira's mouth agape.
"Well, why are you opposing the idea? You don't want to get married or you already have someone in mind? If you do, tell me, I can-", Zara asked after sobering up but Samaira cut her.
"No di! It's nothing like that. I just finished my studies last week! Actually, that's also not a problem. It's just....I don't know what it is. I don't have a problem with getting married. But I won't get married just to make it an excuse for them to come here!", she rolled her eyes.
"Hmm, okay. So, you don't have anyone special in your life?", Zara again asked with a teasing smile.
"DI! No!", Samaira sipped her coffee, trying to hide her faint blush.
Zain's name came into Samaira's mind the moment Zara asked that question, but telling Zara about having feelings for her own brother made Samaira abruptly cut her.
Now also Samaira was trying hard not to think about Zain, not at least in front of his sister, who was also like a sister to her and Samaira was pretty sure could read her(S) if Zara observed her properly. So she was looking at everywhere other than Zara.
"Well, I'll come from the washroom. Then we'll leave, its late already. Okay?", Zara got up.
The others nodded and after Zara left.
Ayesha's voice made Samaira look at her,
"They teased you about Zain," it was more of a statement than a question.
She was her best friend. One look and she knew everything. Samaira sighed and hummed.
"They know!?", Ayesha was surprised.
Samaira never told about her feelings to someone other than Ayesha and Sahil. Samaira shook her head,
"They just know that I once had a crush on him," Samaira shrugged.
"Which is partially true, because you still like him," Ayesha raised her eyebrows, she was just stating the facts and Samaira's silence was proving them true.
