Months went by. Zain's results were out a long ago, and now he and Yazan were fully working on establishing their firm. They had found a good number of employees and started their firm on the name of YZ Company.
The first project they got was from Rashed's friend. It was a project for his new restaurant. They had to create a design that would benefit the restaurant throughout the year. The design included the kitchen, storeroom, dining area, patio and a lounge area.
Yazan did an exceptional job in designing with the help of his team. Whereas, Zain managed the cost and expenses with the advice of both younger and elder employees of his department. And their construction team build the restaurant with Yazan's guidance and the both owners had also helped themselves. The client was happy with the overall design and it had made the both boys really proud. But it was only the starting. They have to work really hard to establish their company.
All these months, Samaira had been busy with studies. She did get to know from Sahil and Zara about Zain and Yazan's company, and she was proud of them, specially him. The thought of self establishment, rather than relying on someone, maybe made her like him more, though she won't admit it. Well, she did pray for their success to Allah.
Today, there was a get together at Safia's House and she had invited Samaira and her Chachu's family over. Anika and Ariz were also invited.
After reaching Safia's house, she introduced Samaira and the others to her parents and the elders soon indulged in a conversation.
"Areh, Salam Mrs.Khan! You're here?", Mrs.Shah came forward, seeing Afsana.
"Walaikumassalam. Yes. Actually, Samaira is Safia's friend. What about you? I didn't expect I'd meet you here!"
Afsana was also unaware of the connection between Mrs.Shah and the Karim's family.
"Oh, same case," Mrs.Shah shrugged.
Then they all were gossiping and eating downstairs while Safia escorted Samaira, Iqra and Omar to the rooftop, where youngsters were gathered. It was not fully separated, but people were standing, forming groups around small tables, chatting and munching on snacks. Omar found some boys of his age and started talking to them, he was a social butterfly.
Safia took Samaira and Iqra to a table where they saw Anika along with some other girls. Anika hugged them both and they all got to know each other. There were few of Anika and Safia's cousins. They all were around the same age.
After chatting on some random topics, one girl asked Samaira,
"So, Samaira. Tell us about your experience staying here. Any love interests in Malaysia?",
she wriggled her eyebrows.Samaira laughed,
"Nope. Alhamdulillah,"
she breathed."Alhamdulillah? What, you already have someone back in New Zealand?",
another cousin raised her eyebrows.Samaira became stunned for a second, only to shake her head the next moment vigorously,
"Oh no, no. It's nothing like that. I just don't want to get into anything haram, that's all," she shrugged.
"Okay, I agree. But you never even told us if you ever had a crush. Didn't you ever like anyone? Even a bit?",
this time Safia asked. She was just curious, because Samaira never talked about this topic.
Samaira didn't know what to say, for her, it was kinda embarrassing to admit about her having a crush, but then again, it was long time back!
Or was it? Her mind asked.
