Sara came and woke Samaira up some time before Maghrib and Samaira woke up happily with the excitement of meeting everyone. She prayed Asr and got ready.
She went downstairs and saw Farida was not ready yet and was giving final touches to her dishes. Samaira's went inside the kitchen and hugged her from behind,
"Assalamualaikum ammi. Why aren't you ready yet?"
Faarida patted her daughter's cheek and said,
"Walaikumassalam beta. I was just about to go, are you all ready? Let me see,"she turned around to see her daughter.
"Ah, MaShaAllah! You look beautiful beta," she kissed Samaira's forehead and teared up a little bit.
( dear )"Ammi, are you crying?", Samaira was surprised to see her cry out of anywhere like that.
"No I'm not...it's just....I'm seeing you all decked up after so long. And now soon you'll get married and go away too. Why did you grow up?", now tears were flowing through her eyes.
Samaira sighed,
"Ammi! I just came back today and you want to send me away already?", she hugged her mother.
"Yeah yeah, now that you got your eldest daughter back, obviously you're gonna forget me!", Sara came in dressed and faked anger.
They broke the hug and Farida went towards Sara.
"How can I forget any of you, huh? You are also looking beautiful beta," she kissed Sara's forehead too.
"And by the way, Samaira, while you were gone, we discovered that Sara can be a lot useful than just lazing around!", Farida turned to Samaira.
Samaira raised her eyebrows,
"Oh Really? MaShaAllah! Well then, now I can relax a little bit, right?"
Sara rolled her eyes,
"Puh-lease! I didn't do that many things. I just tried to fill your void a little bit. Anyway, it was kinda my responsibility too, right? I'm also your daughter!", Sara was saying jokingly.
But Samaira was looking at her with a small smile. Sara was more responsible and mature than before, it made her happy.
"Okay now, enough emotional drama, go and get ready ammi! We'll set the table," Sara literally pushed Farida out of the kitchen.
Then she went to get the washed and dried chinaware from the sink. Samaira went ahead and helped her.
"Hey, Jazakillah for being there and sorry for putting you through so many works," Samaira softly said.
"Seriously di? You guys literally make it seem like I'm not a part of this family! I do have my share of responsibilities, it's just you were always there, so I didn't have to do anything. So, yeah, you being away, I think it was better for me. Also, I value you more now. How did you do many things?", Sara asked surprised.
