The next morning the whole house was bustling with people. Samaira's maternal family, most of whom lived in New Zealand came to their house to help with everything.
The youngsters started to decorate the house with fresh flowers while the elder ladies were helping with cooking and elder men were helping in supervising everything.
Samaira had slept late last night, also woke up for Fajr, so she was still asleep. Ayesha went to her room around 11 am and woke her up. She freshened up and went downstairs. Everyone already had their breakfasts. The gents were about to go to the mosque for Jummah prayers.
Samaira was sitting in the living room, reading surah Kahf in her phone when Hannan entered. He was leaving for Jummah but stood still seeing Samaira.
His eyes filled up. He knew, in a few hours from now, she won't be his little girl anymore.
He didn't even realise when she grew up!
It's as if a few days ago he had held her for the first time. He was standing there, silent tears falling from his eyes, when Sahil came and put a hand on his shoulder from behind. Hannan's trance broke and he quickly wiped his tears.
Samaira looked up, sensing some movements and saw them both. Her smile turned into a frown seeing Hannan's wet eyes. She was about to ask him but Sahil cut her off,
"We're going for Jummah. Get ready soon, or else you'll be late for your own wedding!",he laughed and Samaira shook her head with a smile.
Hannan put a lingering kiss on her forhead and went out saying Allahhafiz. Sahil also sidehugged her and followed him.
The Nikkah was to be held in the masjid right after Asr. So, the girls had an early lunch and started getting ready after praying Zuhr. The elders were waiting for the men though.
Samaira prayed to Allah with a smile on her face.
Ayesha started Samaira's makeup soon. Samaira didn't want anything over the top, she was really not a big fan of makeup. So, Ayesha was the most trusted person for this job. After about an hour, Ayehsa was done and Samaira wore her dress and jewelleries. The jwelleries were from her mother's wedding. She was in love with her dress. It was unique and absolutely beautiful.
Ayehsa helped her pin her scarf and set the dupatta on her right shoulder and around her head before pinning it with her bangles of left hand. Sara was also with her, helping with few things.
She then wore her sandals and stood in front of the mirror. She was in awe, looking at herself. The kohl and eyeliner was enhancing her doe eyes and the light shade of lipstick balanced the slight shimmer of the golden-peach eyeshadow.
"MaShaAllah," Farida's voice broke her trance and she turned around with a smile.Farida came forward and caressed her cheeks.
